Strawberries up here have sucked as of late so I avoid them but I do love them. A nice crunchy red grape is amazing too.
K. My top 3: Mangos, Cherries, Watermelon.
Oh yeah! I forgot about Watermelon! The problem is that they can be so inconsistent. Meaning that one might be sugar sweet and the next is totally bland.

Maybe at the right time of year. The only locally grown stuff we have are Cortlands, Red Delicious, and Mac's.
Red Delicious can be okay, but at it's best it's still my least favorite apple. At it's worst (which seems to be most of the time) they are totally mealy. Like corn meal.

Do look for Honey Crisps though. They also have a fairly short window of availability. Never mealy. Always crisp (even when the outside feels like it's starting to get soft). Always sweet, with just the right amount of tartness.
