I'm always deeply turned off by sellers too lazy to write out a proper description. I would never bid even if interested in theory on such a slap-dash auction. I mean how much effort and functional literacy does it really take to just note the name and condition of a few dozen items?

Seller's clearly not too bright...or maybe just plain lazy. A much higher sum could be reached if he/she would have listed the items individually and offered shipping. Might as well have given them away.

Of course, I suppose they could all be hot. You know. Fell off the back of a truck and such. Anyone want some stolen property?

A person who took the time to collect these would not sell them in such a haphazard fashion. There is definitely something suspicious. Look at his seller rating, the last time he sold something was more than a year ago, and with all the red marks it seems that he is struggling to understand the concept of selling on ebay.

Y'know, I had the same thought.

For the value of that collection, they seem to be displayed in a very inexpensive manner. I can't imagine someone is spending money on this hobby and not displaying them behind glass. The whole thing is suspect though, right down to the noob's first post being "Look at this great auction!". . . I mean, come on now. I was born at night, not last night.

he is offering (and prefers) local pick up, so it looks legit to me.

12 hour drive round trip for me...may be worth it.

I think we need to have SSF's resident expert comicbookguy weigh in on this issue.
