Wut, the opening weekend crowds are your geek companions the ones you want to share the experience with.

I mean why would you not want to go see a new cbm with Gaspar, Riddick and DiFabio sitting right next to you all having a grand time lololol

Opening weekend almost completely ruined my enjoyment of Deadpool... Not that I am the biggest fan.. But the crowds there that insisted on laughing at everything to prove their Deadpool street cred was almost too much to handle..

Jye do you still like AOU? Did you ever like IM3?

My theatre experience for this one was by far the worst in all the years I've been going to that theatre. I don't think it was anything to do with the film itself but I'm fairly certain the audience must have been a contributing factor. It's odd because I didn't have that problem on the opening night of Homecoming or GotG2. When I left the theatre I had a migraine, a throbbing right eye, and then I vomited when I got home (no joke). :(

I think my view on this film is partially biased because of my negative theatre experience, so I'll wait until the end of Nov. or whenever when hopefully less people are at the theatre and maybe I can enjoy it more.

Please be joking...

I guess I am too old for poo poo and pee pee jokes.

J/k.. I smiled at that joke.. Some jokes landed... More jokes missed for me..

When Hela started complaining that nobody could remember her name... That was when I really started to worry about the Joke a minute this film was determined to have.. Or the Shake weight.. That might have been when I started to worry. :lol

I am joking lol

OMG I loved the weight shake joke, his facial expression was priceless.

Ok i’ll admit that scene did come close to being slapstick humor but whatever it was awesome.

But one of my favorites if not the most favorite was the severed dragon head eye rolling back to look at the girls lololol

Yeah I saw the 6 out of 10... I thought that was fair.. I would go lower but I have Hulk bias... If Hulk was used more/better or just not in the film at all I think I would have given it the same rating. Perhaps even a little higher.. I don't know.. I will never know :( :lol

:lol :lol :lol

Time will tell...

My opinion teds to be law.

I feel much better now :)

Not sure the comment was directed at me.. But want to make sure that I admit that I am in the minority about this film and that I could be wrong about how this film will stand the test of time.

I just look at how much IM3 and AOU was praised... How they were the best of what these films had to offer... Shane Black was brilliant for turning the Comic book film on it head... AOU had so much great action with a great villain.. Who cares about all the jokes.. the jokes were funny... etc...

But now both are not thought too highly of anymore..

That does not mean everyone will feels the same way.. Of course some fans still love them.. There was just a MAJOR cooling off of those two films.

But as I said before.. I could be way off on this. Thor could hold on and stay loved by its fans... I am OK with that also.

Can we agree that Iron Man 3 is better than AOU and Thor 3?

It just might be..

I have to watch Thor 3 again.. But I like it better then AOU..

I actually dislike Dr. Strange the most.. But that is because there is no characters in that film I care about... Thus I will probably only watch it one more time.. Maybe.. :lol

Don’t do it JAWS.....IM3 had that horrible action climax.

Thor 3 blows away IM3/AOU and even though that triple attack on Ultron was bad ass and it served as a decent quick origin story for Vision plus his conversation with Ultron at the end was very well written overall it’s not even as good as the first Avengers movie.

TWS/CW/Thor 3 are now my top 3 MCU movies.

Thor 3 bumped Avengers, doh!

IM3 was a nice gadget movie, but I like Thor 3 better. The only part I really had a problem with was the beginning when he was tied up and twirling around while talking to Surtur. Kind of reminded me of Obi-Wan in AOTC when he was talking to Dooku. That could have been handled better. The Dr. cameo was a bit too slapstick with all of the shifting around and the umbrella gag. But I still enjoyed it all.

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

What 4th place is nothing to be embarrassed by in a 17 movie universe (holy crap), Avengers is still good.

Still my best theatrical experience EVER that midnight Avengers show was!

Story wise I prefer Ragnarok over both IM3 and AoU no question about it, but from a re-watchability standpoint I'd probably put both of those above this... and that's sad because I really disliked both IM3 and AoU.

The only parts of Ragnarok that I'd find more watchable than the entirety of IM3 and AoU are the scenes with Hela and Loki for obvious reasons, but that's it.

wild film! i agree some of the humor was a bit much, overall it was a blast. it was pretty non stop energy. loved the music. i think its cool that we can get such different takes but keep coming back to the serious tones when we need to. black panther and infinity war 1 and 2 are going to be wicked

I figure the amount of humor is all good; for me 5 minutes in, thought "just roll down the windows, put your feet up, enjoy the ride". It's hilarious with some great serious moments and nods to the Avengers etc. Couldn't wait to see it again - and I will in a few hours:cool:.

In a plush theater w. reserved seats where literally you can put your feet up.

Happily doin' my part as Ragnarok kicks tepid box office profits in the *ss.

Thor: Ragnarok is positioned to take the top spot at the box office this weekend.

The Marvel movie already brought in $46.819 million its opening day Friday, including $14.5 million in Thursday previews, according to Variety.

On paper, the story for this one is great. Everything with Hela, Asgard's destruction, Thor being imprisoned, Goldblum's palace, Planet Hulk "inspiration", etc. etc.

It's just not executed in a way that's very interesting. "lmao, dude jokes lol" can only take a movie so far before it gets tiring and old.

That said, I can't wait to see who is the bigger meme master when Thor and Peter Quill have a quip off XD

Exactly my points. I could have done without the PH elements but still it was a great overall storyline.

Looks like TR is coming in with a 122-125 million opening, a Thor movie which was the weakest link in the MCU chain.

Not anymore.

That New Zealand director has joined the Russo, Gunn good ole boys club now.

Jango would be proud of his mate.

Nothing wrong with that when movies that should have been great, trip, or movies that are great sink at the BO...I luv bein' surprised. First Homecoming that I sort of dragged myself to - *impressed*; then Ragnarok which I wasn't expecting all that much from e.g. it was gonna be a Thor movie.

GOTG2 was my least favorite of the three tho for me it has plenty of good moments too.

I hope it hits 1B I want more of these types of movies to enjoy with my wife and son.

:chase

I kid I kid.....

I’m good with having just THIS ONE good MCU movie comedy existing in the group of 19 movies.
