ThreeZero Game of Thrones “the Hound” Season 7 figure

I think the sculpt looks pretty great. Hoping the paint work on the production pieces is similar to this proto. Also, hoping they nail the hair. That's critical to the likeness in my opinion. The previous version had too much and ended up looking puffy. Wonder if they're going to put some kind of product in it to keep it scraggly.

So I was just looking at him on their site and I have a question.

In the list of features it says: "No Magnet included"

What's that about? What magnet?

Sorry if I'm being thick-headed, but why would I expect they might include a magnet? Maybe a typo?

I've only ever collected GoT and Walking Dead figures from 3Z, so maybe they're talking about a magnetic base that maybe comes with other lines? It's not a big deal. I'm just puzzled, is all.

It probably has to do with laws limiting sales or import of items including magnets. Just like batteries for Australia.

We were waiting to see if Threezero offer it from China side but still no news yet

Will list it up today, we can ship from Hong Kong but there's limitation and shipping is slower compare to our shipment direct from China

I think the tailoring on this costume is the worst Threezero's done so far. Nothing wrong with the design accuracy but in all those promo shots it looks like loose, stiff doll clothing. The belt cinching looks really awful, especially compared to Arya's in that shot of them together. Looks ok in the basic museum poses but still looks too bulky for what he wore in the show. I always thought Threezero's tailoring in this line was exceptionally well done, possibly the best I've ever seen from any manufacturer, across the figures I've bought but this Hound looks a bit more like it should be a Xensation release to me.

Not trying to rain on anyone's Hound parade, it just looks like Threezero aren't give this figure that high a budget. Hopefully it gets a bit more refined by the final release.

I was initially planning on picking up the "Magnificent Seven" from when they went into the North as they become available but decided to just wait for a season 8 Dany and call it done, for my GoT collection.

I had quite a big GOT collection going last year, and i sold all of them because i realised i just didn't have enough room and their are SO many characters. Selling The Hound hurt the most because he's my favorite character. Now i feel a sadness every time i see new figures announced

Nothing wrong with that. At this rate, it's tough to say whether or not they'll even get to all of the character that went beyond the wall. Is ThreeZero really going to make Beric and Gendry? I'm hopeful, but we'll see.

Even though the writing took a nose dive the last two seasons, the production value and performances were always top notch. I really enjoy the show so I gave it it's own shelf in my display. Not sure how much deeper I want to go but for a character as good as The Hound, I had to pick this one up since I missed the first one.

This is the one figure I’ve yet to pull the trigger on. While I’ll admit that the longer
GOT has been off the air the more and more all I remember is the bad way in which they rushed the ending which is a total shame.

I never loved the Hound, he was fine, I grew to appreciate him a little more. I’m glad I have the first figure but never in a million years do I think he’s the kind of character that warrants two when there are other people without one figure. I’d take a Robb, Ramsay, Theon, mountain pretty much anyone before a second hound and I don’t even really like those characters.

I’m glad the line is continuing I’ll likely begrudgingly get it as a completionist. But if the rumors are true and inart will be doing a few of the core characters I may seriously re evaluate which third parties and threezero I keep and focus on a tighter more high quality GOT collection.

Truth be told after all my custom heads or personal reworks it’s really only Dany that’s almost unserviceable at this point, hope inart does at least her
