Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and I also just started collecting Premium Formats. Just wanted to ask if one should keep the boxes or not. I have no plans in selling my collection. Any thoughts and ideas? Thanks

Plans change.. Collecting focuses change.. Nice pieces get replaced with better representations of the character.. Emergencies happen.

Or you may move to a new house one day.

Keep the boxes. More likely than not you will need them one day.

Never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever throw out your boxes. Not only does your resale take a significant hit when it comes time to sell but these pieces are so fragile enough to repack and ship anyways in their factory produced packaging, let alone not having the proper packaging to ship them in. Regardless of the reason, you will want to sell some of your pieces someday and you will thank yourself (and us) for keeping the boxes.

All other (very valid) reasons aside, trust me when I say, you will absolutely wish you kept them when you move.

Always keep them. You will be sorry if you throw any of them away. When i first started collecting I threw out a few boxes and am still kicking myself that i did that.

what if the options comes down to throwing out the boxes, or throwing you out? the statues get to stay though.

I never kept the dollie boxes but agreed on keeping the ones for statues.

I can see how it can become a pain if you have 10,15+ statues though. How do some of you do it?

Thank you for all the response. I guess that just makes sense. I am now enlightened...lol. thanks
