Just got a job that's 25 - 30 hrs, about $10 an hr PLUS commission. Think I'm good. Plus Im heading back to school in the fall, so let's hear it for student loan excesses.

I am not a Premium Format collector so there a good chance both Indy and Hellboy PF are getting the cut, and I dont think I will get the Conan PF. A couple of the 12" figures will get the axe too.

I loved it so far for not being there. I just can't imagine what it's like seeing all the stuff for sale from everyone else as well. I know that like most I only go for the nice, high-end stuff from SSC and the like, but I think that's just because I don't get much exposure to other stuff. But I am also only really interested in the nice stuff, as I am over "toys".

I am extremely satisfied with what I got from SSC in just a few days:

Well today I totaled up all my preorders and found I have about $2,900 worth of stuff on order. The big hit was the Tumbler and Batpod though.. and the second Iron Man. Ah well, time to pray for some good commissions.

Well it's not all from SDCC. I have everything from TF up to now that I've pre-ordered. Gandalf, Clone Obi, Indy.. all the way to Vader. Of course next Friday the total is gonna jump again with the inclusion of my two Stormies.

And now I don't feel so bad. Honestly though, just in pre-orders it sorta sucks. That doesn't include what I spend in random purchases, like the 3 3/4" Hasbro stuff. Here's praying for a nice sized student loan refund when I go back to get my teaching certification. I fully blame this huge expense on Hot Toys though. Aside from Vader and the Troopers, Iron Man was the highlight of this year.
