So long story short: I had intended to buy only one of the ZCWO tool sets to complete a bash I'm putting together as a gift. The more I looked at each set I came to the conclusion I'd have to pick and part both of them for best results - and I'd keep the remainder for myself - luckily I got them both for just a little more than the price one normally sells for on eBay.
So I get these yesterday and after opening and looking more closely, I don't want to give any of them up. I like them that much I want to use them in a bash for myself as well. Ooops! So now I have to pick up even more tools for that original gift! Luckily I stumbled upon a good deal last night for that.
Neither of these sets are what I'd call "definitive" in terms of a construction worker as they're a little jumbled in terms of accessories. So they are what they are and they're one of the only such packs available. I'd love to design my own set as I already have at least 3 or 4 that would be a lot more definitive and more appropriate than these for a number of construction/contracting bashes.
One set shipped from Hong Kong and the other from mainland China - both packaged very well, wrapped in bubble wrap and double boxed.
Above are the outer boxes after removing the shipping box and bubble wrap.
MH4 is a complete box with flaps and MH9 is actually a sleeve.
MH4 then has a sleeve with artwork where MH9 is a box top like on a sweater box.
MH4's final box is sort of like the DX Hot Toys boxes, with a magnetic flap and can sit on a shelf looking like a really thick volume. Nice metallic silver logotype.
In MH4 everything is clean as it was cast and painted, while MH9 features some of the same accessories but everything has now been weathered for additional realism. Example below.
The same toolbox, but you can see the weathering on the MH9 version at the bottom.
One last note, the "cardboard" accessories in these kits are really well done, with nice thick and stiff matte card stock and sharp printing.
