Topher Grace Edited The ‘Star Wars’ Prequels Into One 85-Minute Movie and We Saw It

I am curious to see this.

Whats most shocking is that with only 85 minutes of footage, Topher was able to completely tell the main narrative of Anakin Skywalker’s road from Jedi to the Sith. While I know the missing pieces and could even fill in the blanks in my head as the film raced past, none of those points were really needed. Whats better is that the character motivations are even more clear and identifiable, a real character arc not bogged down by podraces, galactic senates, Jar Jar Binks, politics or most of the needless parts of the Star Wars prequels. It not only clarifies the story, but makes the film a lot more action-packed.

I would love to see how much of episode 1 is even in that 85 minutes.

Very interesting. I can totally see it working because the prequels work okay as broad strokes. So if the narrative zips by, skipping some of the half-baked sequences and bad dialogue, it could work better.

I really hope someone leaks it.

I thought it was a different Topher Grace. I never would have thought that he would have interest in this, or even the skills to do so. Furthermore, I would to have seen the love parts edited out, not the other way around.

I read about this the other day. Would love to see it. Someone needs to leak it. Toper couldn't do it because Lucas would waste no time issuing a lawsuit. I like the idea of taking the three to one but probably need to clock in closer to two hours to feel more epic. Maybe someone else will fan edit based on the outline and torrent.

I've been tempted for some time now to do my own edit on Crystal Skull, and see if it can be salvaged. Cut the nuketown, scrubdown, monkies, live aliens, knowlege is treasure etc. I think the only thing you'd have a real hard time with is fixing Mac's death, it's pretty bad.

And the Nuke was the best part. Just edit it to one hit, and it lands. Rather then it rolling and ____.

Nah I like the idea of him going from escaping the rocket sled to the college. The Sled is enough of a climax.

Combined with cutting some chit chat between Indy and Spalko i think it'd help the pacing of the opening sequence, and also serve to better explain Indy's suprise that the FBI ransacks his office, I mean he was just in their custody after surviving a nuke, why wouldn't they. Also makes him less invincible. And we get nothing out of Spalko's backstory from the General, her names Irena and she likes swords, thanks for awesome info man.

Star Wars movies need to be longer than 85 minutes. He didn't need to cut it down past the two hour mark.

Dude, would love to see this. Prequels were just crap. Movie 1 should have shown fall of anakin to vader. Movie 2 should have shown rise of Vader and movie 3 would have shown something!

Even seeing the prequels and picking and choosing I'm shocked it was down to 85 minutes. I'm interested to see what he cut and hear why, I never took Topher Grace seriously in anything so this ought to be interesting if it leaks out.
