Just seen this in the Scammed by TW Facebook group, can't verify it but very interesting to see.

Very interesting. I guess that makes it even more unlikely I’m ever getting anything, but if it reduces the chances of anyone else getting scammed I am all for it.

If I were you I'd take the store credit now and buy a figure from their Mega Sale immediately. If they ask you to pay for shipping just send them a copy of the payment receipt and tell them you already paid for shipping for the last order they couldn't send. Maybe you'll get lucky.
I'd try that even if there are no figures in their sale I'd really want.
If you receive anything you can still sell it on eBay or wherever. At least that way you could get some of your money back. It's worth a try 'cause at this point you've got nothing left to lose...

So the head scammer is asking for bankruptcy protection and his company is still taking customers’ money/pre-orders (for now) and running away like Nippon Yassan.

Should have made both a Fakebook page retitled: “I’ve been scammed by Justin Kane/Toys Wonderland/Apollo/Comic Santorium” and sell merchandise to prevent other potential customers from falling into the same trap. The sales of the merchandise can maybe offset the cost of the lawyers supporting the customers best interest and not screw them over.

I hope the news is real...I'll never get anything but I learned that be cautious and use credit cards to pay for things from China.

Stolen money asked for payment for products they claimed were in stock...my biggest one was the Delorean.

It was my first negative experience with them...there were other red flags...but being in the game for a couple years, I really didn't know.

Now I understand not to trust advertisements on websites who promote them...I figured websites like this were made to look out for the fans...but cf was deleting posts...which actually made me thing everyone was wrong and they were a reputable store.

Unfortunately if he files for bankruptcy, that protects him from owing any money or goods back to the people that purchased from him. He can then just start a new company, like Toys Apollo for example, and continue to take money under them while not having to worry about all the money and goods owed under the Toys Wonderland logo.

You really have to piece together stories from this community and take each with a grain of salt, good or bad, to build your own case. When you get a ton of stories on both ends, like we got with TW, if you decide to make that purchase then proceed with caution. You have to go into the purchase with the understanding that it may not work out. Take it purchase by purchase, while not ordering a bunch at once. Wait until you get a delivery. There will be people on here that will go to lengths to protect the names of these companies like they did with Toys Wonderland. Some are currently active participating in this discussion that hated anything negative said about TW, but have since changed their tone once Justin denounced them and they started having issues.

I have two different company issues going on right now. Made one current purchase with each. One with Sanctumtoys in Malaysia, as I had read some good and some bads things about them on here. One individual on here was very positive and highly recommending of them. That individual no longer posts on here, at least under that same name. Purchased the InArt Batsignal from them, knowing it was a risk. It was a low cost risk, and I'm at terms it will more than likely never show up. If it does, then great but I will never purchase from again.

The other one is with SpecFiction that's located in the US. I have seen a ton of positive experiences and high recommendations with them on this site, myself included with one purchase. Sprinkled in with those were some angry people with bad experiences. Took note with those, and made my first purchase of the sculpted InArt Joker. I received my invoice back in May 2023 saying that it had shipped by boat from China and they will send it to me from California in around 60 days. July hit and I got a shipping notification and label from Spec, and sure enough it shipped and I received it no problem. It was a no hassle purchase.

I then make my next purchase with them of the InArt Bruce Wayne. At the end of August 2024, I receive my invoice thinking it has shipped by boat from China. Invoice says it will arrive to them in 30-45 days. 70ish days later in early November still nothing. I reach out and they tell me it's not on their list from China but they will reach out and check. Couple days later on November 10th, I receive a shipping notification with a shipping label thinking it's arrived in California and is shipping. Here we are December 14th and still no update on shipping. I've heard from others currently going through this with them, they were told another 30-60 days after receiving the label so I am going with that for now.

I believe i will receive my figure from SpecFiction, but I'm seeing red flags from them as a potential cash flow issue. Charging me way before it even ships from China is completely different from last year. This will be my last purchase from them as I no longer fully trust them and believe there is something starting to happen with them.
