Hey gang,

Over the past few weeks I have been working with a couple of friends on designing an accurate "Grant" logo for the 1:1 hammer. I was inspired to start modeling the hammer with the intention of offering a 1/6 version. With the possibility of there being a HS down the road I also decided to model his urn as well.

With the help of Dark Passenger providing references of the same urn used in the show I started working on this. I still need to model the wooden base.

As of now I intend the urn to be a 2 piece deal, with the main body of the urn having a cavity that will hold some actual powder for the ashes.
These will be 3D prints just like the Priest Vallon Staff I offered on my other thread. Most likely they will be offered as unpainted only.

I just wanted to gauge interest before getting a quote on prices since the price goes down depending on quantity.
I will also be doing some fine tuning to a couple of curves that need a little work, again it's still a WIP.

I'll add in hammer WIP shots soon, but wanted to focus on the urn for now.
Post if interested in being added to a list. I know names may come and go, but I need an initial quantity to quote and this is not a commitment on your part yet.

a WIP of the Grant Logo I'm doing in vector for the framing hammer.
A friend of mine from the RPF who has a good eye for matching details is helping me nail all of the minor details.
More to come on this...

8/1/11 Update:
With some additional images provided by Dark Passenger, I got the base and legs modeled over the weekend.
Needs some slight tweaks here and there on the base contours, and the bottom part of the urn is not quite the correct curve yet, but getting very close to being finished...
There are 3 "feet" on the bottom that Im going to keep if possible, sometimes there are limitations by the 3d printers on the milimeter thickness of smaller pieces, so hopefully the feet are not an issue.

There is so much dormant talent on this board that just pops up out of nowhere to impress me :rock

He is an awesome guy! He's the one who sent me the file for my own 1:1 Trinity Hammer.

LOL, you put me at #1! :lol

This is interesting. The painting of the rose designs are going to be a pain, haha. If I decide and get the Trinity headsculpt, count me in, but I'll let you know.

Yeah the idea I was going to toy around with is creating water decals based on hi res macro photography of the flower paintings. Decopauge may be another exploration. Ultimately hand painting will probably be the way to go. Will explore it when it gets there.

I'll send the macro shots soon man. My GF had the camera yesterday. It's a poopie camera, but does take macro.

Yeah, water decals or decoupage might be the trick.

I'd be interested pending availability of a painted urn, and pending Trevor even doing the sculpt.

Definitely interested in the hammer, whenever that's up.

Hey Corrose, working on the Micro Shots now. I suppose Trent is helping you with the hammer measurements and pictures or do you need those too?

Trent has been pretty busy, I he was going to hang out with Lance and I last weekend but he got caught up in work and family obligations, so yeah, if you're available I'd love getting the specs from you if you didnt mind?

Not a problem. I will shoot those over soon. I sent the macro shots of the urn to your email.
