Triad Evo and Eva bodies - pushed back

I was considering ordering some items from Triad and as Id already pre-ordered Evo and Eva and they were due for release next month I wanted to combine shipping

They were showed off two years ago and then in January they put them up for Pre-Order with a date of July for release. This was suppose to be so nothing would go wrong and that they would actually come out. I like some of the product that Triad put out but anything aside from clothing seems to take forever to actually ship. I was really looking forward to these bodies.

Just so you know. Yes they were showed 2 years ago, but then the design stolen by another company(which I won't mention).
So Triad went back to the drawing boards to improve even that design. They finalized it and the EVA & EVO's are going to be some
of the best looking and most articulate bodies on the market.

Delays: from what I understand, about 50% of the factories in China that produce these type of toys, have closed down.
So everyone is scrambling to get other factories to pick up their orders. So look for delays from everyone, including Triad.

That's too bad I was looking forward to getting some of these.

As for the design being "stolen" - I haven't seen any other companies that have similar bodies.

I believe the Soldier Story S2 is the body is question.

Bummer... curious how the new bodies will turn out in production. Oh well, waited this long what's a few more months or another year :lol

I forget what the knockoff body is called, but I have seen side-by-side comparisons and the designs for evo/eva were indeed stolen. I think the story goes that it was a shady factory that sold the molds to another company (also shady). That's how I've heard it, anyway.
It stinks that they got pushed back but the guys at Triad put out some great stuff and I'm sure it's for the right reasons. I've always had good experiences with them and their customer service has helped me more than once.
It does appear that maybe they bit off more than they could chew with all the new licenses they've acquired.

I was planning on picking up a few of these, and they were supposed to be no delays this time because it was going to be sufficient time for the release of the bodies. I don't mind waiting though, I'm sure they will turn out amazing (those head have got to go for sure, I'll be swapping them the second I receive these).

I can't say I'm suprised, even after Triad announced the newest date back around Christmas as to be unreleastically far out just so they could compensate for any more unseen delays.

I guess they still ran into more delays than they counted on...again

In the end, I don't mind this delay as I've got one EVO and two EVAs on preorder. My wallet can use the break this month with the HT Predator and SS Vader coming out.

I'm interested in the female body, but I'll wait for a second version once they have worked out any unexpected kinks and hopefullly have a different head. There's pretty much no customizing I could do with that head.

Really. I think the EVO head looks kinda like Hayden Christensen from "Jumpers"

The EVA head looks like a good generic Trinity in the face. A lot from the side.
You just have to take off the hair or change it. With some work, she could get there.....

Let's face it guys! Triad is renowned for their delays! Personnally, my wallet is rather happy for the delay, so I won't complain!

Callous (Eric) from Triad did the Portman sculpt. He twicked it because he wasn't satisfied with the first version, but I preferred the first one better. It looked more like Portman...
