Wednesday, March 22 2006, 00:00 UTC - by Neil Wilkes

ABC has confirmed the season finale dates for its top shows.

The plans include a two-hour send-off of Alias on Monday, May 22 at 9pm ET/PT.

Top-rated medical drama Grey's Anatomy will get a three-hour finale, airing over two consecutive nights on Sunday, May 14 (10-11pm) and Monday, May 15 (9-11pm).

Desperate Housewives and Lost wrap their second seasons with two-hour finales, airing on Sunday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 24 respectively.

I used to watch Alias but I quit during the third season. I caught a couple 4th season episodes and didn't like it, and I haven't bothered to watch this season.

Lost has started it's second season 2 days ago over here. Is it supposed to be the last one or will this one go on and on like so many others?

Lost is planned to continue for years.

Alias was great in the first and second seasons...3 was pretty good too.

4 was not that good and 5 has been horrible.

I know... I have been very disappointed in Alias... as you know I was a serious addict... I will watch the rest of the season because I want to know how it ends... Prison Break is now one of my new favorites. :D and Lost of course

I've been watching the fourth season of Alias on DVD. I'm down to my last two episodes tonight. So far, I didn't think the season was too bad... maybe a bit convoluted at times. I did laugh out loud one episode when I heard Marshall use "Five by Five" expression coined by Faith on Buffy. The actor playing Marshall actually was on Buffy playing one of Glory's demon minions.

So, is the fifth that bad? Please no spoilers... even though it will be awhile before the season comes out on DVD.

Season 5 is really bad...don't even waste your time on it.

If you like Alias, try 24. It's similar, only better.

S. 5 has been crippled by Jen (and Sid's) pregnancy. I'm not a huge fan of the new characters but it is good to see Amy Acker working regularly. I wouldn't say the whole season is horrible, but it hasn't really lived up the others.

I've tried 24 and I just can't get around the gimmick... that what happens is in REAL time and that it ALL happens within a 24 hour period. Are all his days like that? I think I would kill myself. And Jack's daughter is attractive but why is she on the show. I hated the fact that in the first two years of 24 all of the character development between the father and daughter is done over their cell phones... the gimmick gets in the way of these character having any relationship that resonates. And the show is ALWAYS in panic mode. :horror :horror :horror

Solid acting (I liked the guy who played the President) and writing (even though it gets a bit convoluted)... but, in the end, I just can't get behind it.

How many episodes of Alias has aired this year. I asked my Dad to TiVo all of this season's episodes and put them on tape for me. He told me today that according to his TiVo, they have only aired 10 episodes. That can't be right can it? Are the TiVO gods laughing at me? What gives?

Anyway, I'm still watching Angel... I've started season two this week and I'm looking forward to watching the first season of Lost in the near future. :D

Isn't TV DVDs great! :D

Or at least as long as it keeps on rating well for ABC..
The writers themselves have stated on many occasions, that even they don't know exactly where it's all going, and when it's going to end...People have said Seinfeld was the "show about nothing..", well, if LOST keeps on going for another season or so...it may take that honour.

10 episodes of Alias is about right. They have treated it poorly due to less than stellar ratings. And they cut the season order from a full 22 to 13 or 18 I think, so there aren't many more to come.
