Ultimate Indy Thread: What needs to be replaced and where to get em

Hey guys, seeing that there's a similar thread for the T-800 and the Colonial Marines, i figure that its about time to start one here to consolidate a list of best parts to use. I'm no expert so feel free to start adding tips so guys like me who are unfamiliar with Indy know where to start. Thanks

You gotta replace the body, shirt, pants, gun belt, whip, jacket, boots, and head. But it still occupies the same space that the SS one once did.

I strongly disagree with that. This is by far the best 1:6 Indy headsculpt period.

Besides the re-paint, it is a good idea to add about 1.75 cm to 2 cm to the body length. If you not rich or talented (and I am not rich or talented), you could always just cut the torso with a hacksaw and then use masking tape and a rounded wood block or other material. As the clothes will cover this area, it doesn't matter.

In this picture below, Raiders indy is inceased by 2 cm, and Temple of Doom Indy is increased by 1.75 cm:

I think that this, along with the previous suggestions in this thread, and you will finally be happy and have the Indy you have always wanted to have.

Definitely, but pick up the one with the scaled down shoulders. The shirt will fit better.

I repainted mine and switched to a Soldier Story body,
huge improvement!
Just waiting for Shawn's Whip and jacket!!!

I just came across this thread and figured it would be a good place to post the one im working on. Still going to tweek him some im sure but here is my custom Indy so far

smallstudios... NICE Indy... one of the top ones around... I would, however, cut those hideous bubble buttons off.. get yourself one of DML's WW2 US shirts to salvage the khaki buttons off of.. and sew them on.. bingo...

Thanks! but really alot of the credit has to go to your work on that gun belt. Just a fantastic peice. But i do agree with the buttons. I may go back and see what i can do with them.

I'm caving in!! I forever thought mfisher's gun belts were a luxury I could do without but each and every time I see one I just go nuts! I have a feeling that it's only a matter of time.

Thanks, I tell you that jacket is a thing of art in itself. Im not sure how he made it look and feel like leather but it does! As for the body its a Hot Toys Will Turner heavily modified. I posted some pics of it on my thread awhile ago. This custom has been going on for months

It shows, man. Here's my Indy compliments of contributions by two active members of this thread. Belt and holster by mfisher, headsculpt painted by Small Studios. I have Newlines on order and now am HEAVILY considering a jacket from Sovereign Studios!

Yeah, I agree. The heads, gun and hands are all fine. Just poking fun that people are replacing virtually everything on this figure.
