Super Freak
Hey Freaks... I posted this as well at the Clubhouse and wanted to chase some more feedback. I went back to Uni 2 years ago to study 3D Animation for Video Games & Movies. Haven't sculpted in years, not that I ever really started! Just a couple of 1:6 heads sculpts.
Anyway, I had the chance to do some independent research and decided to compare the differences between traditional Maquette creation (sculpting) vs Digital sculpting in ZBrush... So far I've only started working on the physical sculpt.
Here is my WIP:
Here is my statue for you before I do a final bake before I finish it.
Here is the concept art of the statue… I figure that since copyright would be lost once I started sculpting it, I’d design an Urban legend… In this case a Yeti aka Abominable Snowman. Bigfoot or whatever… I've based the design of a silverback gorilla mixed with a yak...
I’m going to finish it as a mixes media statue… real fur (synthetic, in case you’re a vegetarian), cloth kilt & vinyl leather belt…
This is the most current state the statue is in…
I’m planning on completing the sculpture this weekend. I’ll then bake it and prepare it for painting and the gluing of the fur etc.
I'd love some feedback from you all! Thanks
