Utapau Clone Trooper review

Tonight I'm checking out the latest in the Sideshow Star Wars series - the Utapau Clone Trooper. This guy tried unsuccessfully to go all Order 66 on Obi-wan, and now he'll get a second chance on your shelf. The highlight here is the weathered armor, which looks fantastic. He's an extremely good add to the Trooper shelf, although this is one of those times you can skip the exclusive and go for the regular version.

It's not Medicom or Hasbro bad, but it's not quite up to Sideshow's standards for detailed accessories, either.

nice figure. I think all of Sideshow's armored figures have looked great so far.

It's an outstanding figure, except for the undersuit and horribly loose ankle joints.

Is the armor like the Stormtroopers (removable) or like Obi-Wan (glued)?

I know many people are unhappy with the exclusive "stand" (I wasn't overly thrilled) but I think it's obvious that as Sideshow continues to use the trooper for repaints or other divisions (can anyone say 501st?) they will custom each stand to more easily identify the military unit each clone is from. I would still like a better, more tangible exclusive item, but the tailor made stands...I think it's kind of a neat idea. As for the first...I don’t think it's ugly.....

Is anyone else afraid the black bodysuit underneath will disintegrate because of the rubbery material it's made from?

True...and I'd prefer that as well. But how many little 'exclusive' items can you have for troopers that almost literally came off the assembly line? At least it's better than an "exclusive utapau rock" or a "Kashyyyk fern" or a "Genosian splattered corpse"...

I'm not nuts about the stand, but I figure I may want it eventually in time if Sideshow releases a good dozen or so clone troopers, each with an exclusive stand.
