One of the things I picked up at SDCC was the first 6 figures (including the exclusives) for the new Venture Brothers line from Bif Bang Pow. I'm looking at two of them tonight - Dr. Venture and Brock Samson. These are going to be polarizing figures, but I think the Mego style does work with this license.

I also have a guest review from Guy Klender, who's looking at the SDCC exclusive Tron figure. If you like cool packaging, you're going to love this baby. You can find all the reviews at the usual:

Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend!

I just don't like the Mego style for this license. I generally like the Mego figures, especially the vintage, but even some of the new ones. But I just don't think they work at all for Venture Bros.

However, I do think I'll get 21 and 24 as they don't look too bad in this style.

It bums me out that I went to the BBP booth and they were already sold out of the Henchman, so I didn't bother with the rest.

I'd like to collect them, but with the shipping added on and (I think) tax it's almost not worth paying essentially $50 for two figures. Only if there was a confirmation for David Bowie being in this line would I collect it all with no hesitation :)

These look cool but just not my cup of tea. I saw some of the Star Trek ones that have been coming out lately but couldn't bring myself to buy any of those either. The DC ones look pretty good I must say.
