Hi all

Recently bought a new Toshiba camcorder for my video reviews and it outputs in .mov Quicktime files.

Have a video converter to change them into .wmv files so I can use Windows Movie Maker on them, but 9 times out of 10 it corrupts the file so either the audio or video cut out half way through or there is simply nothing!! Could be something to do with the compression I guess.

Any helpful info on solving the problem or any alternative suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have reviews I need to do. :monkey2

thanks

Try this:

<object width="640" height="505"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/20oWaFad9_0&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="https://www.youtube.com/v/20oWaFad9_0&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="505"></embed></object>

You really need a better editing program. I use Adobe Premeire or After Effects to convert files. Premeire is fast, just import the quicktime movie, cut your video & export as an wmv file in any size. There are many third party video converters out there, but many are not compatible or glitchy at best. Your video converter seems to not handle the qt file well. How large are the file sizes? Large file sizes tend to crash edit systems when you don't have enough ram to work with. If all else fails, maybe get the latest version of Movie maker. That may be very compatable with the new qt files.
