I have been interested in forever in owning a vinyl plotter to be able to cut decals for signs and personal projects, perhaps even a little revenue on the side, but I have never gotten around to doing some serious shopping until now.
I know little to nothing about brands, so I was hoping someone here knows this industry and could offer some tips or make a recommendation.
I definitely want to go into this and do it right, I don't want to buy a hobby 12" cutter and in 6 months, wish I just sprung for a 36" one.
Budget wise I was looking to invest about $1k to get me a nice plotter, a nice assortment of colored vinyl and any other beginning equipment I might need.
The cutter I buy would ideally be able to cut cardstock as well for airbrushing templates.
If anyone could offer any info/suggestions, I would be grateful.
