I'm surprised this film isn't doing better. I thought it was hilarious. Even if you haven't seen Walk the Line, it works for so many other reasons.

The funniest film from the Apatow camp this year, and that's with Knocked Up and Superbad in the mix.

I'm an Apatow fan after The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked up and Superbad. :rock It was between this and Juno last weekend and Juno won. I still want to go see it though, looks funny, I think the elvis scene alone will be worth it. :lol

I've heard from multiple people that this movie blew, and was a huge waste of time and money. I think i'll wait for video :monkey3
You did the same with Superbad, remember?

I don't pay attention to what "people" say, I make my own concusions, if I did I'd listen to Kit and have no sense of humor whatsoever. :lol

A lot of people I know didn't like it either. But I laughed myself silly through the whole thing.

Rottentomatoes has it at 76% Fresh - so there are some people out there that like it.

:lol I only waited for SB cause of money mostly. I like to see big action things in the theater (eg. Cloverfield).

A spoof on Johnny Cash is crazy, he's just too well Liked - The Legend - I knew this movie wouldn't do good. Next are the 2 spoofs on 300 which I'm sure will also bomb.

That seems pointless. 300 was pretty much a spoof in and of itself.

Haven't seen Walk Hard. After suffering through 40 Year Old Virgin, I've been hesitant to go near anything with the name Apatow attached to it.

If you didn't like 40 year old Virgin, you won't like Walk Hard.

Meet the Spartans looks truly atrocious - I continue to go these Scary Movie retreads although they keep getting worse and worse. I didn't know there was another 300 parody coming though.

I also had to choose between this and Juno and saw Juno instead, but my parents saw this one and said it was very funny and told me I would like it. So I plan on seeing it at some point, but I might not catch it in theaters. I was listening to clips from the soundtrack and it sounds like John C. Reilly does a pretty good job singing.

I saw Walk Hard, I want to see Juno but Walk Hard seemed more like a guy movie than Juno.

I thought it was hilarious, but it does get silly at times. Not to ruin the movie but if Walk The Line and Ray had a illegitament baby it would be Walk Hard.

The cameos are funny and the Beatles part was great. If you like old fashion Rock & Roll that makes fun of itself then you might like Walk Hard. John C Reilly is a great actor, love him on Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job. He is not a bad singer, either.

You made the wrong choice there; Juno is like 10000000x better than Walk Hard

Is it as bad as seeing In The Name of the King instead of Sweeney Todd or Rush Hour 3 instead of Superbad?

Either way, Juno will be seen. I've loved Michael Cera's stuff since Arrested Development.

I saw Walk Hard and loved it. It's like Old School funny except for the music which is actually very smart. Come to think of it, it's a very interesting mix of smart and dumb humor. Its only drawback, besides not having a big name on the poster, is that it starts off a bit like an SNL skit. After the 30 minute mark the movie hits its stride. I liked it better than Knocked Up or Superbad. But it helps if you're 25 or over. The musical jokes work best if you have a passing knowledge of pop history.

For everyone waiting for Blu-ray, you can do that, but you'll miss out on seeing it with other people, which is part of the fun, and the great audio you only find in a state of the art theatre.

I got that feeling, too. You would need to have a bit of an idea of music history to really appreciate this movie. I am still in my 20's but I know that if I was alive during the days of Elvis and Bob Dylan that I would get the genius of this movie even more.
