For the second consecutive time I have had an order ship which showed a coupon discount only to be NOT applied at the actual time of shipping. In other words, when I placed the initial order it not only accepted the coupon but also was marked down on the order confirmation. At the time of shipping though the coupon was removed and I was charged full price; not only that, but because I used a coupon I lost any Rewards Points.

This happened with my Velociraptor and now Spinosaurus orders.

I have emailed customer service, but wanted my fellow freaks to be aware as well as draw attention to the issue.

Did you get any other discount on that dino? If so, maybe thats why?

if not, SS should be a bit ashamed this keeps happening.

Nope, no other discount was applied. :monkey4

The first time it happened with the Velociraptor dio I emailed and was given the RPs back for the item; even though the value of the OG coupon was more. I let it go because I figured it was a fluke and something is better than nothing; but now with it happening again, I am a bit pissed.

I haven't heard from CS yet regarding this latest screw-up. :impatient:
 
My coupon problem is somewhat different.

For some odd reason, the Sideshow website refuses to recognize that the originals coupon codes I'm using were actually issued to me. I have no less than 4 coupon codes I can use, but every time I try to use them during checkout, it tells me that the coupons can only be used with the account to which they were originally issued.

The funny part is, they were issued to my account and even customer service can't seem to figure out why I'm having this problem. But since they can't use the coupon codes for phone orders, I'm stuck waiting for their web team to figure out the problem and fix it. If Subject 714 goes on waitlist before this problem is resolved, I'll be pissed. :gah:
 
There are restrictions. Same thing happened to me.

I have had it bounce back when I ordered the item; but this is different:

  • it accepted the coupon
  • showed a discount on my order confirmation
  • still shows the discount on my invoice, but NOTHING has been taken off of the MSRP

Nothing in my email yet, I know with Spook it would take more than 48 hours.

havent tried to use mine yet...still unsure what to use it on since i purchased my Barbosa already and there are no 12" Dead in stock besides harbinger....
 
Heard from SS today (Mike :clap always a class act to deal with, if he comes to Con I owe him a few :drink); they are giving me the RPs and crediting my card back the $30.
