Looks like the next Narnia movie might have a green light.

I thought Prince Caspian and the Voyage of the Dawn Treader was later in the series though.

They are releasing the movies (as far as I can tell) in the published order... not the intended reading order. I'd be surprised if they actually make all 7 books, my guess is we'll see only the ones including the Pevensies.

After seeing what happened to the secondary market value on their Narnia line, I would think you would have to be very free with your money to preorder one of these at anything but a drastic discount.

I agree with you Tom. But, they are still great looking statues.

Man, as good as Weta is these days, it just makes me long for more LotR poly statues. I really hope they do the Hobbit collectibles.

Look amazing, as the previous Weta Narnia pieces are, but unless the ES is EXTREMELY low, I wouldn't touch these until they go on fire-sale, like the first releases...

I won't touch them either. Now when the Aslan w/girls statue retail price was like $300 right? And can be had for $50 on eBay these days.

My point is, Weta still kicks butt.

I agree, bro. The artistry and quality is certainly there. But Weta blew it on the ES and the expected market with the initial film pieces released. I don't think anyone is going to be pre-ordering at the MSRP.

Fantastic pieces, nevertheless.

Also while Narnia was really cool... it does not have the selling power and (collector oriented) fanbase of LOTR. I have the Otmin which is a very impressive piece, but just not much of a demand for them.

Maybe if this movie does well, the earlier pieces will come up a bit in price... or at the very least when the target audience is in their 20's.

Good point, Galatiboy. If this film does well and the pieces are not flooding the market, the initial pieces may get a positive bump in value.

Otmin looks fantastic, as does Orsieus (spelling?) Those two look great posed against each other.

The sculpts are sure to be top-notch (as is the paint) which was certainly the case with the first batch; but I will wait and see on these.

A new line of helms sounds awesome though! :clap

100% agree :naughty

It will be funny to see the reactions of people when they realize that Narnia and "The Matrix" have so much in common.

I am sure the quality of these statue is going to be same if not better than the first. However, I'll wait for the secondary market to purchase these due to the fiasco that happened with the first one. :D

I think these Narnia Caspian collectibles are going to look awesome on the shelves and the Edition numbers are super low numbers, so i'm wondering if anyone thinks they are too low?

Well, anyone who was considering getting any of these and hasn't pre-ordered yet, better act fast:

We've had an incredible journey creating collectibles for Prince Caspian. The buzz around the lead-up to the film filled us with confidence and with pride in the work that Weta's artists put into the movie. The designs, the props, the swords and the armour. The Crafting Of Narnia. The workshop has been a-buzz.

Our artists conceived a stunning range of statues: Prince Caspian on Steed, Reepicheep, The Warrior Satyr and the Minotaur Bust.

While the work progressed on the range, the world didn't stand still – the cost of living soared, petrol prices went bonkers and slowly people's priorities shifted.

The initial strong interest in the Prince Caspian statues therefore didn't translate into the number of pre-orders we were expecting based on ranges in the past. In fact, the Halo range that was only launched a few weeks ago has already by far exceeded the Caspian range, just to put it in perspective.

And on top of that, our production failed to meet the target date of the movie release.

The good news for Narnia collectors is that we are still making the statues, and they are going to be ultra-rare, as we are limiting the editions to 100 (yes, one hundred) of each.

The pricing will stay the same – which means that these statues will be real bargains.

On the downside, we have had to halt preparations on the helmet range. The helmets attracted a lot of attention, but again, that didn't translate into pre-orders. We know that this is very disappointing to those who have pre-ordered helmets and we apologise for getting your hopes up, but we hope that the increased rarity of the statues will help make up for it in some little way. We will send out individual confirmation to those of yuo who have pre-ordered helmets.

Note the two important bits, no helms, all statues now an ES of 100.
