I can't believe I saw this sitting out front of an A/C shop on the way home. I had to stop by and snap a few pics. Turns out this was used in the filming of Back to the Future part II. Not everyday do you see an 81' DeLorean time machine. And the best part is when you open the door it makes the sound effect of the opening hatch! I almost lost it when I heard that classic sound. Enjoy!

WOWOWOWO!!!!!!!!! You are SO lucky!! That looks amazing! I'd kill to hear the door open and listen to that sound! I LOVE BTTF!

It's a shame they took the ride down for the stupid simpsons :(

Thanks dudes! I seriously really flipped out when I found out that the owner installed a sound board for the door/hatch. It was unreal, I guess like seeing a Unicorn in real life would be the equivalent. And supposedly Universal took out BTTF the ride because of slow lines. Bummer.

Lol King, is that sarcasm I smell? Besides the dude is probably loaded so I would assume ^^^^^ is no big deal.

WHAT! If anything BTTF the ride had one of the longest lines at Universal, at least the Hollywood one. Almost every ride had a shorter line than BTTF. That's really strange for Universal to say that.

I found that odd as well, I am sure it was some young a-hole who runs the park and figured it was "too dated". Same goes for E.T. too, I loved that ride!

BTTF was an awesome ride - but ET? That was like the lamest of the lame-o rides ever.

I'm anxious to try out the Simpsons though.

What can I say, I am a sucker for the little turd. Besides it was like the Peter Pan ride at Disneyland. And E.T. would say your name at the end, more than I can say about Pan and co. :monkey3

Aww, I love the Back to the Future ride. So is it gone at both parks now?
I really love the Spider-man ride at Islands of Adventure and the Men in Black shooting game ride. Those were so awesome and well-engineered! Can't wait to go back to Universal Orlando!:chew

Man! The Spider-Man ride is probably the 3rd best ride of all time!!! BTTF the ride was the 2nd best ride of all time. Indiana Jones at Disneyland is THE best ride of all time! :chew

Ahhh...the Delorean...I am so getting one of those...

I'm glad I rode the BTTF ride when I could...twice...:monkey3

I believe there is actually Delorean kits that you can buy. A few people have turned them into BTTF prop replicas.

yep, there are kits for this. Making your Delorean into the BTTF Delorean. Pretty cool. My town has 4 of these cars, I've always wished that I could snag one. I'd get the kit and go to town on it IMMEDIATELY! :lol

And I was really sad when I went back to Universal last year and saw that the ride was gone. That one was always one of my favorites. They keep the freaking Twister ride but they get rid of BTTF?? Still don't get it. That ride was AWESOME. :joy
