Here is mine:

Monster is a term for any number of legendary creatures that usually appear in mythology, legend, and horror fiction. The word originates from the ancient Latin monstrum, meaning "omen", from the root of monere, "to warn", and also meaning "prodigy" or "miracle".

Saint George versus the Dragon, by Gustave Moreau (1880)The term "monster" can refer to a person who is exceptionally evil, grotesque, unreasonably strict and uncaring, psychotic and/or sadistic.

Is this how your Sig is defined in the encyclopedia? Or are you just being yourself?:D

Just being myself.. Heres what the Dict. said...

Today, the ghost town of Bodie, California, is one of the most authentic abandoned gold- mining towns of the Old West (figure 1). It is also reputed to be a "ghost" town in another sense: Some claim, according to a TV documentary, that Bodie is inhabited by ghosts who guard the town against pilferers (Beyond 2000). Supposedly, a visitor who dares to remove any artifact can be plagued by the dreaded "curse of Bodie."

Re: What does your Username say if you look it up?

I mean your Username in the encyclopedia lets all try to look them up this will make for a fun thread.:D

Those were the results I got for tomandshell.

If I try just looking up "Tom" then I get:

1. the male of various animals, as the turkey.
2. a tomcat.
3. (ethnic slur) offensive and derogatory name for a Black man who is abjectly servile and deferential to Whites

I can think of at least one comment for each definition but I just finished downloading "Zodiac" on Xbox Live and it's time to go and watch it.

:wave

(PS: I have been to Bodie.)

Pixel: any of the small discrete elements that together constitute an image (as on a television or computer screen)

Twin: one of two persons or things closely related to or resembling each other.

So I guess my screen name is defined as Two small discrete elements that constitute two identical images...

:dunno

"Bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), commonly known as mad cow disease, is a fatal, neurodegenerative disease of cattle, which infects by a mechanism that surprised biologists upon its discovery in the late 20th century. In the UK, the country worst affected, 179,000 cattle were infected and 4.4 million killed as a precaution"

"The disease can be transmitted to human beings who eat or inhale material from infected carcasses. In humans, it is known as new variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD or nvCJD), and by June 2007, it had killed 165 people in Britain, and six elsewhere with the number expected to rise because of the disease's long incubation period. Between 460,000 and 482,000 BSE-infected animals had entered the human food chain before controls on high-risk offal were introduced in 1989."
