what if hot toys did custom pred kits

what if hot toy did custom kits where you get to pick from all part form the predators and kit bash so people would not mess up the original figures even though your kit bashes are cool the originals are being destroyed ,the kit would come blank and you could do what you want ????

I think that would be cool. It would also be cheap too (I'd imagine they would be only about $70).

Lovely idea but financially prohibitive to implement.

Seriously - they'd have to run the production process to order, driving the costs through the roof; think custom cars vs mass-production models. Compare with the profit margins from continuing to produce full kits and it's a no-brainer for Hot Toys.

Plus you'd undoubtedly see auctions and sales for supposedly-legit older Preds that were really just bashed together. This would only affect the hard-core obsessed collectors, but it would be a sweet idea for those who just need that extra part or two to max out their custom (or original) Predator pieces.

It's only a bad idea if people are dishonest with it.

well then look at the paint jobs i wold love it i have a couple of preds i would like to do but dont want to ruin the origionals

It really sounds good dream of ordering parts for customs. Hell I bet everyone would love to order certain parts to there liking. But it goes sadly that people would build Preds up and pass them as originals which is wrong. Great thought and love it, but it would damage the collecting community.
