More seriously, the problem (to me) with Tonner dolls is they simply don't look that much like the characters that they're supposed to portray. I'm not quite getting the whole "they look gay" business because, quite frankly, they don't look anything like any of the gay men that I know or have seen, either. If anything, they look like twelve year old boys dressed up as Spiderman or Jack Sparrow, and that just makes the visual effect weird.

Basically that is what they are Barbie dolls in premium format quality clothes. Do I like this stuff, no. But the market is there.
