I know there was a thread way back asking about the average household income of collectors which looks to be under 50k/year (at least the median). My question is what percentage of your household post tax income do you spend on collecting/year?

Post what your household make (round to the nearest 10k) and the percentage if you want.

I make a billion dollars per year, and spend a few million on high-priced Enterbay Girlfriend hookers. Waifus, too.

I think I spend somewhere around "none of your damn business" but since I make "why should you care?" yearly it's all good.

LoL, what a defensive bunch..something tells me you guys would rather not know or else guilt will set in. Whateva, you can lock this thread.

When it comes down to it, what does it matter what anyone else spends on their collectibles? As long as you are taking care of bills, family, etc. first and your hobby spending isn't causing any financial problems then buy what you want. Besides, a percentage isn't going to tell you anything anyway without knowing someone's yearly income and financial situation. Someone making $25,000 and spending 10% for a total of $2500 a year may feel that financial hit. Someone making $100,000 a year might only spend 5% but they may not notice the $5000.

Less than I do on hookers. More than I do on cocaine. Equal to what I spend on cheeseburgers.

Don't even want to think about it.

Have a house, cars and all the electronic gadgets I need. So only thing left is to buy dolls.

Not much. Just what I can burn. We do budget a hundred or two bucks a month of blow money for my wife and I to spend on whatever. As a percentage of our take home, it's about 1.2%. She gets her nails done and buys clothes and stuff. I spend mine on whatever I want. Mostly weapons. Some figures. Video games. Boots. Whatever. We have other priorities. We're paying off debt at a breakneck pace at the moment. We'll be debt free within a few years.

Once we get through that, we'll have more money than we know what to do with. Got to work to get there, though. Not buying all that many toys (just a few a year) isn't much of a sacrifice.

Most likely the exception, not the norm, given the attitude collectors have toward this thread:)

I'd rather be rich with a few toys than broke with a bunch. And, you can't get rich spending every nickel you make ... much less paying interest to pre-spend the ones you'll make later.
