I have a chance to buy a Hot Toys 1/6 Raiden for cheap money. I would like to know if those here think it is worth it. The cost is going to be under 150 and it is a new figure from a dealer that tested it and discovered it was broken.

depends on the damage obviously.

last couple sold on ebay for $150, $168 w/o damage. go from there on your price.

What kind of damage? If it's just a break on the body, deduct the cost of a new body (plus a little for your trouble).

If it's a damaged headsculpt or something specific to this figure (which I've never heard of), then reduce it as if that part wasn't there. Minor parts, minor reduction. Major parts, major reduction. Deal-breaking problem ... don't buy it.

Most likely it's got broken elbow joints. Pretty much everybody who bought that figure either had the elbow joints broken right out of the box, or they broke shortly after unboxing it. I'm incredibly lucky that, touch wood, mine's are still fine.

If that is the case, it's a b***c to repair by all accounts.
