So, better late then never....but I just stumbled upon the awesomeness that is Wizard World Comic Cons. I think it was last year that they bought up a number of conventions, and this year they are revamped and in full force, starting with "BuffyFest!" :rock

At select locations, including Miami, Toronto, Chicago, and more, "BuffyFest" includes a number of stars from the Whedonverse, with various meet and greet sessions, photo-ops, panels, etc.

I'm thinking about hitting up the Miami Comic Con in a few weeks. (Not sure yet as it is last minute.) But I wanted to throw this out there for all of you that might be interested. This will definitely be a blast!

Here's the link: https://www.wizardworld.com/wizcon.html

The guest line up is different in each city, so keep an eye out for who's on the guest list!

If you're interested in Miami Con, let me know and maybe we can meet up!

Philly Comicon is in June and Adam Baldwin will be there. Might have to bring Trev's Jayne sculpt for a signature.

For anyone who's attending, I suggest you buy your tickets closer to the date. Wizard has this nasty habbit of changing the guest line-up without informing people! I remember last year at the Toronto Show, I was so excited that they had Eliza Dushku as the guest. I bought the tickets, then a week before the event, she was taken off the list and replace by Jewel Staite

Re: "BuffyFest" Wizard World Comic Con - Miami, Toronto, and MORE

That happened to me with James Marsters in Austin. They replaced him with James Leary (clem). I love Jewel staite, more than Eliza, so I would have loved that replacement! :D

Sorry to double post. But so far it only looks like Miami has a Buffyfest package. I definitely cannot find one for austin.

I think it may be too far in advance for Austin. I'm not sure though.

Last calls for Miami???

I'm looking up hotels this weekend. I'll book something Monday or Tuesday. I'm pumped!!! :rock

Re: "BuffyFest" Wizard World Comic Con - Miami, Toronto, and MORE

A "friend" that works with Wizard let me know tonight that Julie Benz won't make it to Miami this year. I'm not sure if it's been formally announced by Wizard, but it should be soon.

(Guess some of you were right about the last minute cancellations. :lol)

Re: "BuffyFest" Wizard World Comic Con - Miami, Toronto, and MORE

Those last minute cancellations are evil. I was so upset about James. Mercedes and James are set for Austin for now. And I am more pumped about Mercedes. I know, call me crazy. But I really love Harmony.

I might be interested in going to the one in Chicago. We will see, it will be a last minute decision and probably just one day.

She's the only reason I'm going to Miami CC at this point, TBH. I've met all of the others, and as much as I would have loved to have met Benz again, I've met her before. So if SOMEONE had to cancel, I'm thankful it was her. It still sucks though.

I'm getting excited about this whole con thing though!!! It's been more than a year, since my last one. Next weekend can't come soon enough. :rock

That's it? That's all you're telling us? MORE, please.

:lol I tend to babble....I was proud I finally kept my post to 7 words.

BUT....It was AMAZING!!!

I got to meet Mercedes McNab, Mark Metcalf, Nick Brendon, and Clare Kramer. I got a group photo with all of them and myself together and it turned out great!!! (I'm really a big critic of my photos, but I was actually happy for once.) I got all of them to sign it and chatted them up for a while.

There really wasn't that big of a line for any of them, except Nick, so you really didn't feel rushed, which was nice. They were all A+!

Nick did a Q and A, and I got the nerve to go up to the mic and give it a shot. The hall where it was held had about 150 people in it, so getting up in front of all of those people was big for me!!! It was nice though because I started it off with a joke, and we got a little carried away....He's apparently a fan of the band, The Decemberists, which I didn't know until yesterday. So we carried on for a minute with nothing but babble. Good times!!!

And a neat little tid-bit: I got a video clip of him doing the Snoopy Dance!!!! (I'm not sure how to post it, or else I would.)

Overall, it was great! I had an awesome time to say the least. I really love doing the cons.

Woot, we got that too. Everyone asked him to do it at Wizard con in Austin, so we filmed it. :rock
