Hey guys, I have an armored custom knight that I'd like to take on but am finding a hard time locating a loose chain mail suit. I've looked on e-bay,Monkey Depot, and Costwold any ideas?

War Toys has a figure that you can buy the body and chainmail hood seperate for about $20. I think it's made of rubber, but should still look good on a figure.

Go here and type in Olaf in the search bar... they probably have some more figures that would work, but this one I saw yesterday.
https://www.war-toys.com/

Check their "Dragon Historical" section, might be more in there.

A couple of the DML TimeLine figures had chainmaille outfits as well as DML's Olaf.Atlatic Toys had Olaf at a really good price for the full figure. You might also be able to find some of them on Ebay.

Olaf has short sleeve mail, Timeline figs have separate full arm sleeves.
I've got one of the Timeline ones if you're interested.

They also have one Timeline figure parted out on the site as well. Sounds like between some of the different options you should be able to get what you need.

Thanks for the help guys. Entropy Chicken maybe we could work on a trade or something if I cant find one.

Im currently working on a chainmail custom project atm,

Dont need a hood just need chest to waist with sleeves and leggings (no crotch needed oooer missus). Currently using the ignite chainmail which is just OK

Would love to source something better if anyone else can help out in that regard.

16K Im not sure that link you posted would work for 1/6th but its a handy link to have, thx

Yes it works! I belong to another forum (Fantasynet) and some members use it for 1/6. The results are great provided you select the right size. But I'm just like you, Moocat, I prefer making mine!

You can definitely pull it off! Making chainmail is not difficult per se! Basically, you have tu wind a wire around a rod to make long springs and then cut the springs in rings. Then you have to fasten them using a method easily found on the internet.
Not, the only problem is it's long and boring! It took me about a month to make that suit of armor! You get crazy at times! :D
