Im looking for any type of faux suede leather material for making 1/6th scale coats.
Basically im looking for similar material used for this Battle Galactica figure. Thin faux suede leather material.

If anyone into clothes making please point me to the right direction as ive been searching for way too long and getting nothing! :(

Thanks!

Xeno, the fake suede is a microfiber (polyester) often called "passion suede" here in the States. It comes in various weights, and even in a two-sided style. I've even seen it approximate the look of worn-out leather.

As for the fake leather, it's vinyl. Modern vinyls are stunningly realistic. Way, way past the old "pleather." Some heavier ones even have a backing of recycled (ground) leather than looks like the backside of real leather.

Does your city have a fabric district? Find out where upholsterers get their materials. If there are Tandy Leather stores in Oz, check those out too. When you're talking to sales people, find out what weights their fabrics come in. You'll want light weights to get the sense of scale. Unfortunately, the lighter it is, the fussier the sewing machine gets.

If you must shop online, get swatches before ordering yardage. And inquire about shipping costs for small amounts. Where long pieces get shipped in tubes to keep the fabric wrinkle-free, a small amount can be folded and shipped in an envelope. For 1:6 work one yard of fabric will go a long way; it's probably going to be 36" x 52" or wider.

Any questions, I think you've still got my email, or pm me.

Thanks for your help man. I will visit some local fabric store here and see what i can find first. This is the first time im doing some serious tailoring ... I just hope i dont end up picking up another new hobby!

Go to thrift stores. Lots of clothes cheap. Leather and pleather, suede you name it. Just buy coats or purses and cut em up.
