I've seen some version of that poster at Wal-Mart. Though it isn't an actual theatrical poster, it would cost about $5, which is cheaper than $55.

Kl241 posted to perfect link for this, but it is so tough to tell unless you have the poster in-hand. People have really gone out of their way to rip this poster and make it look authentic. Good rule of thumb is that if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

Badmoon, that auction you linked could go either way. You could ask for a close-up picture for comparison to the website Kl241 posted.

Yeah thanks for the link Kl241!

The website Iron Fingaz gave me has a few different versions. One is $29.99 and the other is $79.99. I cant tell the difference. I guess the higher priced is the OG? :dunno https://www.moviegoods.com/movie_poster/the_dark_knight_2008.htm

I just heard back from them. The $79.99 is the original. If you compare the difference in the pictures of each poster (The $29.99 and $79.99) you can see the differences that are posted on the other website. Thanks for all of your help guys!

The biggest indication that I could tell was the part of the poster where you could clearly see the end corner of the skyscraper (I think it was the right upper side of the poster). That was the most clearly visible on the poster in-hand.

Good luck dude!!

Thanks! :duff

I paid $40 for the theatrical Rambo (2008) poster, and it is the legit theatrical poster and it's a 27x40. It just depends on how much you want the poster and how legit it is. I have a Rocky Balboa theatrical movie poster which is also 27x40 and I got it for free for pre-ordering the movie on dvd.

Pretty much if it is double sided it is authentic. There are some double sided reprints(like the Why so Serious? and Spiderman) but that is usually for really popular stuff.

All the ones on Ebay are pretty much fake and the other sites are charging $200 to $400.

If only you had been looking sooner. I had a moviegoods code for 25% off that expired on the 30th. I will try to dig out that poster this weekend.
