Hello

I was just wondering if re-painting some of my statues will lower the value of them?
As the paint job on the new TMNT are pretty bad im my own opinion.
Also my army of darkness ash is way too clean his clothes need to be very dirty.
Just wondering that is all.

cheers

Jay

I don't sell or repaint stuff myself, but i would think that if you do a good job it wouldn't lower the price, but maybie raise it a little bit. If you search for custom or repaint statue on ebay you will find people that sell their stuff for ridiculousy high prices

Sounds good ,as i'm going to collect a premium format indiana jones raiders statue for £150.00 later this afternoon , and alot of people say he is way too dark , hopefully mine is ok as i have not looked at it yet , as it is new and not been out of the box.

cheers

if you are not happy with the paint jobs, then a repaint will increase your appreciation for the piece... therefore, increasing its value to you. monetarily speaking, i would pay more for a piece that has been customized with positive results.

I agree with both points :lol

And of course a bad repaint (which happen too) can destroy a good piece. There are some very talented board members that can help out.
