No thread for this one so I guess I'll start this... No. Seriously.

Saw it Thursday-- It was the first movie theatre experience for my two little ones (5 & 3) and at 1 hour and 3 minutes it fit perfectly. Also a nice Nessie pre-movie cartoon narrated by Billy Connolly-- important for my little ones for their Scottish heritage and the fact that their room has a massive mural of Nessie (that I did prior to my eldest's birth).

Pooh was enjoyable. Loved John Cleese being the narrator.
He gets the honey in the end-- but the constant spelling mistakes, i.e. huny, drove this English degree dude around the bend... I thought I was reading some Freak posts.

They're already asking about The Smurfs movie. :thud: Oh well. :gah: I'm a good daddy.

Did they play the Kenny Loggins song?

For some reason we got it about 4 months ago in the UK. Maybe because Pooh is English (Even with that American accent)
My 3 year old daughter sat through it as quiet as a mouse. Psst! I really enjoyed it too.
Loved the trailer too, the Kean song seemed to fit really well

Glad he dumped Derby at went back to the more traditional look

Took my 3 year old daughter to see this along with the rest of the family. Have to say it was great. Run time was perect for kids.

Honestly felt myself slip away a little and remember what it felt like to be a kid again. Reminded me a lot of seeing Bambi, Snow White and such when I was a kid.

Well, to be accurate, Winnie was Canadian. :wink1:

During the first World War, troops from Winnipeg (Manitoba, Canada) were being transported to eastern Canada, on their way to Europe, where they were to join the 2nd Canadian Infantry Brigade. When the train stopped at White River, Ontario, a lieutenant called Harry Colebourn bought a small female black bear cub for $20 from a hunter who had killed its mother. He named her 'Winnipeg', after his hometown of Winnipeg, or 'Winnie' for short.

Winnie became the mascot of the Brigade and went to Britain with the unit. When the Brigade was posted to the battlefields of France, Colebourn, now a Captain, took Winnie to the London Zoo for a long loan. He formally presented the London Zoo with Winnie in December 1919 where he became a popular attraction and lived until 1934.

The bear was also very popular with Christopher Robin, son of author A.A. Milne. It was his favourite animal at the Zoo, and he often spent time inside the cage with it. The bear was Christopher Robin's inspiration for calling his own teddy bear Winnie... Winnie the Pooh.

I loved the Abbott and Costello routine who's on first when they were down in the hole and my daughters especially loved "issue" sneezing. Craig Ferguson did a nice job voicing owl.
