After the whole Messiah Complex saga, X-force lost a member, Caliban. Since then the X-Force members have scattered....until now....

Just picked up the new X-Force comics and I'm liking so far. Love the new costumes too. No sign of Hepzibah, though.

ANyone else reading this?

I was, but I stopped a while back because it wasn't very good. It was just another vehicle to put Wolverine in another book (or, at least, that is what it seemed like to me).

which issue did you get to?

what was that thing that the Purifiers stole?

#2. They were just alluding to Magus (the technarchy one) showing up. I think #5 is supposed to have the "return of Archangel"

i'll be getting the rest of the issue in the next coming days.

I really like the story's direction so far and awesome drawings.

I also picked up the X-Men Origins featuring Colossus. Really good read too.

I am interested in seeing how the new creative team does on Astonishing X-men #25 coming out tomorrow.

I'll pick up X-Force when the TPB hits... if anything, there's great artwork & lots of blades everywhere!

X-Force is fantastic. This, along with X-Factor, are the best X-titles out right now.

I've actually been WAY out of the X-anything game. I really tired of X-men reigning over the entire Marvel universe in the 90s so I'm giving the mutants a break...

Well those that think it suck or that want to take a break from the mutants, go ahead.

But those that want to read a good X-book, pick up X-Force.

Story is great and the art is great.

They are taking lesser characters, and pitting Wolverine in a new light as a leader. Taking him out of his element.

Plus, Archangel is making a return, and the way it looks, he was never gone, just hideing. You need to read to understand it.

Don't listen to those that don't like it. Pick it up and try it yourself, or take a quick read at your LCS.

...or you could listen to me and know the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth that X-Force is lame. :lol

(and no I am not sick of mutants) :lol

Anyone who wants bad advice, listen to the Grease fan, cause it seems like they can set you up with a ton of it.

Anyway, here is why I don't like it.

1) Wolverine is not leadership material. The character works when he is on the X-men in a support role or as a loner. Putting him in situations like this is just to sell books because he is popular and sullies the very nature of what Wolverine is.

2) Black suits with red glowing eyes? That was cool in the 90s.

3) The Purifiers? not an exciting group of villains.

4) The painted art fad is getting annoying. It's fine when Alex Ross does it but it can get as old as Cel Shading did in video games

:lecture Please note that the above is my opinion and throwing around statements of truth was a joke by me and was not to be taken seriously. :lecture

About the Grease thing, how come you didn't guess I got the name from Rizzo the Rat from the Muppets:

If you guessed either one, you would still be wrong :lol

Didn't Rob Liefeld create this comic book for Marvel?
It was suppose to be the baddest Mutants led by Cable to destroy all Mutant kind enemies? I don't recall them doing a hell of a lot.
It's still around?
:chew

Obviously when you stopped reading at issue #2, you don't really know what is going on, hence you probably cannot give an honest opinion about the series, just about issue #1 & #2.

I figure that is the nicest reply I can give, in my opinion.

So, you been in a coma for a while?

I read one issue of a comic book saga and I decide from there if I want to continue reading it.

I'm also reading the World of Warcraft comics and I like it so far.

I borrowed a bunch of my brother's Superman DC comics and so far so good.

So in conclusion, go check out the comics and decide if you want to read more or not. It is up to you.

Well if I read two of the books, and didn't like them, why would I continue to burn money on something I didn't like? Also, there are much better books out there every week, not to mention much better X-books.

Considering I've read half of the new series of X-Force books out there, I would think that my opinion is still relatively valid.

If you are in it for Wolverine, there are a multitude of better Wolvie offerings each month.

Have to agree. I expected a book full of subterfuge and black ops story lines. Something along the lines of the current Captain America title.

If the purifiers had a plan to take out mutants, like Red skull has put together to take out America it would be a great read! If that was further coupled with bloody violence, and an elite group of black ops mutants that existed more in shadow Id be ALL over that book! In fact I would argue that is what the book is SUPPOSED to be. Why else would the team wear black suits and have night vision?

I was extremely excited about the new X-force..but it just never delivered!
