Yoda Split Shipment!?

Oh boy - this can be great but not so great....depends on how you look at it I guess. Kinda of a bummer though I think....I was hoping for Yoda to arrive a llittle bit earlier than MAY! On the other hand, Im sure that some of our credit cards will probably be breathing a huge sigh of relief if we have to wait untill May.

Thank you for your pre-order of our Yoda Life-Size Bust (item #2935) from our Star Wars Life-Size Busts Collection. We appreciate your patience in awaiting the arrival of this Limited Edition collectible.

At this time, we would like to inform you that the first shipment of this item is estimated to arrive into our warehouse within the next 3-5 days. We will BEGIN “pre-authorizing” credit cards for this purchase on Tuesday, March 27, 2007, in the sequence in which all of the pre-orders for this item were placed, as specified below. Please note that we are receiving a split shipment of this item. The next shipment will arrive May 2007. That, and should the piece not be to your liking, you get a whole month to check out collector photos and reviews to cancel him, unless you did flexpay.

I guess ultimatley I will find out on 3/27 if my order is going through or not - I will keep my fingers crossed that it does.

Ordered mine at Comic Con. Cancelled and reordered so that I would get the reward points on such a large purchase. Then they ended up giving us points on Comic Con preorders after all. So now I get to wait two extra months for nothing. There goes all my enthusiasm, right out the window. I am kicking myself right now!

Yes--and what's funny is that I cancelled the Endor Trooper bundle last night because of the charge for Yoda that I was expecting next week. If they had even listed Yoda in the newsletter last night as a split shipment then I wouldn't have cancelled the troopers. As of last night, they were all arriving next week, and I acted accordingly.

Methinks there's a communication problem somewhere, last minute split shipment info (possible SSC not knowing about it until last minute), Endor Troop 10 day notice without any 30 days or sooner (possibly last minute notice to SSC that they're on the boat), something's funky somewhere, I'm just glad we get a 3-5 for Yoda, I have the funds, but I still would rather see a punch coming towards my face than get hit from out of nowhere.

I actually won't mind too much if mine gets delayed. I could take the breather from the past few weeks and I like to space out my big pieces so I'd have enough time to drool over Boba.

I had the space all picked out and ready and I was really excited to be getting this piece next week. I am going to have to get rid of all my excitement and think about something else for a few months.

At least if it turns out they painted him purple, I will have more than enough time to cancel him.

Mine is coming from a dealer, and my order was placed within the window -- hopefully I will be amongst the first. But really, my reason is good - I will be moving at the end of May ---- eek! :eek

I don't know how this affects their shipments to dealers, but I wouldn't be too disappointed if I didn't get mine until May. I spent most of the money I had set aside for this.

In the last two days, I lost Gentle Giant's Vader maquette raffle, didn't get Fett #42, found out that I will be arriving at CIV too late after the deadline to pick up any Sideshow exclusives, had to cancel my Endor Troopers so that I would have enough money for Yoda, and then found out a few hours later that I won't be getting him until May after all.

But Fett looks great, which makes up for all that stuff.
