I've long wanted to repaint my Toshiro Mifune -- ever since I got it, back in 2000 (or whenever). All the Yojimbo figures from Alfrex had a problem with a dark stain on the hands and on the forehead. (I think all of them did. At least the two that I got both did. :lol) Anyhow, it's a decade later, I've learned how to paint and here he is with newly painted hands and head! All comments are welcome! The sculpt is more stylized than those I usually paint -- check out those earlobes and sideburns! --so I had to change up my usual painting style to accommodate.

Looks good man... I had one that I sold recently; no staining though. Great figures for their age and a repaint really shows off how nice they are.

Thanks, man! I really thought they all had the staining. Guess I just got "lucky." :slap Oh well, it gave me the inspiration to play.

He came out great. I was thinking of doing the same to mine. Now I think I might have to lol

I highly recommend it. The naked plastic look just doesn't hold up its end when compared to the high quality of the clothing and the rest of the figure. Now I'm just wondering if I should repaint my 7 Samurai set. Now that would be a project.

I customized Alfrex's shinsengumi sculpt for mine. I thought this and their 7 Samurai sculpts where better Mifune portraits than their Yojimbo offering.
