Not for me, but I'd be tempted if they started in on the Rebels crew in this format...
Well these are probably the closet we're ever gonna get to the McQuarrie designs in 1/6, since Rebels is basically just McQuarrie art translated into 3D animation (especially Vader)As I said in the Vader thread, wasn't crazy about the series but liked the art. The stormtroopers and Vader are the only designs I would actually purchase though ... I may well end up with these. They're lighthearted and pop.
This is the same language they use with the Marvel Hono figures. Best as I can figure, it just means they are "bare bones" without extensive accessories, extra sculpts, fancy bases, etc. But they are Hot Toys figures in every other way. Prices are significantly lower than typical HT figures in their Marvel line. Personally, in most cases I prefer that route over including a bunch of extraneous stuff that is just going to stay in the box forever. What's "Entry Grade"...
I actually dig this quite a bit. Would be a nice stand-alone piece even if you didn't have a fuller collection of Star Wars figures because of the design.
You and me both. Ideally TCW, but Iβd take a Rebels Ahsoka too. Eckstein Ahsoka is my Ahsoka, wasnβt a fan of Dawsonβs portrayal..They can take all my money if they did an Ahsoka in this animated look from TCW. That sideshow one is *****
Yeah thatβs very pragmatic. I hope they continue but watch it just be these or other βeasier to makeβ characters without exposed faces.I can't help but feel they won't actually commit to this show. Troopers sell. Vader sells. That is what they made.
I'd be very surprised to see much else but who knows.
So why exactly are these $100 less than their other generic troopers lol. Just proves that theyβve been overpriced.$165 at Sideshow
