Thought this was interesting (UFC 133 Conference call W/Dana White)

Middleweights Chris Leben and Chael Sonnen both texted White, requesting to fill the main event slot. White declined both offers, citing the weight differential.

Chris Leben will take any fight on short notice. :lol

• Davis will not require surgery to repair his knee, only rest and rehab. Even after suffering his injury, “Mr. Wonderful” still wanted to go forward with the fight. The full extent of Davis’ injury remains unknown, but White described it as “a strain or a sprain.”

• Vladimir Matyushenko, who is scheduled to compete at UFC 133 against Alexander Gustafsson, was White’s next choice as a replacement opponent for Evans before Ortiz accepted the bout.

• Brock Lesnar is recovering from his second surgery to combat his diverticulitis. Isolated on his farm somewhere in Canada, the former heavyweight champion is apparently doing quite well on his road back to the Octagon. “I guess his recovery has been pretty incredible,” said White.

that is a sick card! is that supposed to be november?

To each their own opinion but GSP has been TKO'ed and submitted so he is not flawless. A. Silva's fight with Chael Sonnen is all I need to say and Jones is too raw to see his flaws but so far he has no holes that we can see. Let's wait and see him on his back, chin tested, and other things we have yet to see.

I like all three fighters but everyone has a hole in their game and certain matchups will expose them.

I do see your point though, the three listed look likes Gods in the ring sometimes.

I know what you mean, of course nobody is perfect at anything in life, but when it comes to match ups, some of the guys have been shown to have certain weaknesses, but they still beat the fighters that give them problems. My point is that the 3 guys I mentioned don't worry about going against a matchup style such as a "Striker","Speed", "Strength", JJ BB, Wrestler, Judo, Karate, etc. A certain matchup won't in all likely hood, be as big of a factor as it would be for most others.

Anyone can lose in this sport at anytime, but against fighters as talented as I mentioned, I don't/wouldn't attribute their loss to a match up problem. A.Silva actually has the biggest hole in his game out of the 3 so far; he can be beaten by a wrestler, but hasn't yet, so I don't see it as a problem for him at the moment. Chael was doped up after all.

People need to acknowledge the fact that Anderson fought the fight with Sonnen with messed up ribs. He also sought to submit him (which he did in one of the most exciting moment in my life. I was in a bar where nobody liked Silva at all. It was 80 people against just me rooting for him) to prove a point that his Jiu Jitsu is legit. Sonnen, please. Dan Henderson was an olympic wrestler and Anderson handled him. Sonnen is extremely over-rated, and needs to go home. He is kinda funny though. But this is fighting, not a comedy. Plus he ripped off people financially, which I think is the lowest of the lows.

If all those fights get signed to a contract then 136 blows 137 out of the water IMO. Both good fight cards though, like always.

With Pettis losing who's next in line? Guida? Winner of Lauzon/Guillard?

Good question. I thinking the reasoning for Guillard vs Lauzon on the same card is a built in fall back option if Maynard gets hurt(just speculation), they could still save the main event with a good fighter filling in.

Injuries aside I'd like to see a champion vs champion LW fight next.
