Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

so the regular batman is in this new wave is just the first one re-released with different packaging?

I doubt it. My guess is it will be an adaptation of the Wave 1 Batman ...

The AC costume is actually a bit different from the AA one, particularly the belt and gauntlets. Plus, the AC Batman figure from Wave 1 is black/dark grey rather than blue/light grey from AA Wave 1.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

^ Agreed. Hopefully a mod here can change it for us.

I would if I had powers here. Lets just hope they don't make it into a new spoiler thread :lol

I'm still excited about this wave. Some good characters but I think having the Joker thug means we have more waves coming. It also may mean we can get a Gordon figure which I think would be nice. DC Direct I think are on a very nice little money earner.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

So glad they are releasing Batman in a regular version.

I thought the diseased unmasked one is kinda stupid. I wish with the unmasked one it wasn't with that stupid disease

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I just wish it was accurate. When he was sickened by that point in the game he already had a lot of battle damage. Instead, they just give us the upcoming wave 3 Batman with zero damage and the unmasked, infected head that we saw for 3 seconds in the game. It was a blatant move to just get another Batman variant out there.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

^ Yeah, I agree with you there. Would be nice if in the future they put that Bruce Wayne headsculpt to better use and stuck it on a suited body, or added scars and have it as an extra Hush head.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

lol I called it about the Clown goon, cept I said theyd be double packs. One with a baseball bat and make up, another with a rifle and a mask in a jacket.

infact, wouldnt it be good if there were variants for each goon? Like the trophys you get in AC, you have two different Joker goons, two different penguin goons, one with a sniper rifle in the winter jacket, another with a shield , and two-face goons, one with a rifle and another with a machette.

I wouldnt mind Tyger Guards; One fully body armoured with sniper rifle, another with shock sticks. Would be really good.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Yeah, I'd love to get a Tyger guard in a future wave. Putting one in a wave with Hugo Strange would be a good move. Then either a Penguin thug or Two Face thug in another wave would be nice aswell.
A female assasin might be nice too, though I'd definitely prefer the thugs over that.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I wont be getting the clown thug or penguin but I'll definitely go for the other 3. Though I want these (as in AC figures) pretty bad, i'm glad they're all spaced out. if they came out all at once I wouldn't be able to all the ones I want, the NECA GoW3 figures or the ME 3 figures

They have to do a god damn Grundy and Clayface Deluxe figures!

it would be a joke if they didnt! One of the most pivitol characters in the game, and one of best looking character designs of Grundy, id buy em in a damn heartbeat!

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I'm not sure about a female ninja as if we are getting Ra's then Talia will be enough to represent the legion. I was never really for the thugs etc but now my opinion has changed as the Joker thug looks really good and I can see a great opportunity for display purposes with having the C characters. I'm glad DC Direct have taken the option to really explore this game in figures. I think they are the most detailed and exact looking figures I have seen and I think some other companies could really take a note from them in these areas.

I agree that we so need a Grundy (especially as he is in the Lockdown game) and Clayface as he is the main Villian (in the Joker story) really in story mode.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

i'd love to see nightwing and hugo strange. other than that..azrael is definite buy for me. im surprised we haven't seen a two face from them.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I'm a bit surprised about that myself ... but, the Mattel Two Face is actually really good, so it isn't that big a deal. It seems like they're trying to conserve some big name characters for later waves.

Yeah, me too!
When they first started this line, way back with their AA figures infact, I expected to get a few of the core characters at most. Now with the AC line DCD has gone way beyond my expectations, giving us more characters than I ever expected, and also the possiblity of giving us every major character from the game with future waves since the line seems to be so popular.
This line had also given us a first from DCD in the form of an un-named character which really shows their dedication to the line. It's also given us another first in terms of Batman-figure-characters in the form of Zsasz.
Not only that, but if the line carries on with a few more waves, it will also become the line with the most amount of Batman rogues ever made.

As a Batman fan and huge AA/AC fan, this line has quickly become my grail and I can't wait to see what the future waves will give us!

I couldn't agree more. I'm a huge Star Wars and I have never felt excited by every character in a wave let alone a whole series of figures. I have even cut back on most of my toys to make room for more waves. My Hot Toys are all for sale from Batman as I like the size and look of the AA/AC figures and the fit so much better.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I just pre-ordered AC The Riddler,Catwoman and Azrael.Series 3 looks pretty good but I hoped that series 3 has Hugo and Two-face.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

to be honest, this is pretty much one of the most definitive figure collections of batman thats been released isn't it?

I mean villain-wise;

Scarecrow
Riddler
freeze
Joker
Scarface (still a villain!)
titan joker
Infected Joker
Catwoman
penguin
Rhas
Harleyquinn Nurse outfit
Harleyquinn AC outfit
Croc
Zsasz
bane
Joker goon
hush
Mad hatter

With a strong possibility of Hugo strange, Two-face, Solomon grundy, Clayface and Talia al Ghul.

Then we've got Infected batman AC with cryptographer, Standard batman AC, Standard batman AA with batarang, Armoured batman with Batclaw, Battle damaged batman and Robin. Would you class Azazel as a good guy?

Most likely we will get Nightwing ofcourse. So its a majorly definitive line we are getting.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I would like to see the size comparison between the deluxe figures and the normal ones. I wouldn't really expect Freeze to be taller than Batman, but I would like to see Croc against him just so we can see the difference. Titan Joker looks a good size taller from any photos I've seen and I'm guessing Croc is in between. Does any one know for sure? Has anyone heard any pricing of the deluxe figures either?

I actually would love a Nightwing and even a Red Robin would be cool as he looks cool in the game. I think he is called Red Robin. Has the tight hood?
