Coat was blue in reality; faded 30 year old jacket in museum appears to have browned; Kenner figure and Phil Tippett miniature were blue - and thus started about 3 years of confusion.

I can't recall the colour in the movie, but I will use the colour on the screen, only question, theatrical, SE, harmy or blu ray or do I just have the wrong colour setting on my screen

In watching the Harmy edition the coat indoors looks brown and when next to a light get's a bit of a blue hue on the edges... but when he's outside (and a puppet) it looks blue. I imagine it has to do with how the lighting for the snow scenes affected colors and maybe Tippet had corrrected for that by making a blue jacket, even though the one Han wore appeared brown :huh

Can't believe that soon it will be two years since I've had the Harmy editions. I still get goosebumps just knowing that the original movies are an actual reality in my home again.

Did we ever hear when all this Hoth goodness might go up for PO?

No, unfortunately there's been no word on that. All things considered, including how many people likely attended SDCC, show coverage, at least for toys/collectibles was IMO, abysmal. The most details seemed to come from Rebelscum, but their photography was pretty lack-lustre, very limited, and when the put up galleries of multiple booths, they didn't even have the courtesy to label anything. Coming from the tech industry, I'm not used to this at all.

There really shouldn't be too much of a hold-up with these figures like there was for Grievous or even the Baroness. I hope they'll PO within a couple of months, but I can also see them holding off til winter to take advantage of the snowy season tie-in.

The only thing that might delay things is a possible new manufacturing process that yields them the same excellent finish these protos have. But that's all speculation on my part.

The only thing that might delay things

I can think of a few more reasons for a possible delay:

-Secondary head sculpts have not yet been done.
-Factory time is already scheduled out for previously announced product for X amount of time.
-Sideshow already has too many irons in the fire and wants to spread these into next year so they don't have everything releasing at the same time
-they may want these to ship the same year as the new movie
-for no technical nor scheduling reasons, they just wanted to preview these right now, yet don't plan to start until some future point in time. Call it a tease or what-have-you - just to gauge interest.

I don't think Sideshow has any track record for transparency with its scheduling nor decisions behind it. ;)

Well, sure, all valid possibilities.

Possibly, but Han's is probably the same face, just has his hair added--like Sideshow's Indy with the hatless and hatted versions. Luke could be a problem, I'll grant you that.

I think these all are normal scheduling considerations already taken into account by the time they put these up for PO. But I think Sideshow is aware that there's a risk we'll lose interest if they stall too long, like we kinda have for Grievous. I don't think they'll deliberately stall these figures THAT long. I'm thinking (or hoping) that the latest we'll see them in hand will be by SDCC next year.

That seems to be the case for the Probe Droid. But there's no doubt there is interest up the wazoo for Hoth Han, Luke and the Tauntauns!

So NOTHING ready for pre-order anytime soon? Wow. I remember the days of Comic Con where they would preview Jabba and you could pre-order right away. Looks like we will be lucky to have a PO by Comic Con 2014 to arrive in homes sometime 2015. Fail.
