Based on this argument, all figures should have sculpted junk between its legs....we don't see it in the movie but we know its there :wave

Value for dollar. Expectations that differentiate a sculpture from an articulated action figure (or as some would call them, dolls).

late to the thread, but i wanted to add... having seen these in person i was confused at first... they looked too good to be SST... i had to check the plaque to be sure. i have never been a fan of their human portraits... but if these can remain consistent through to production, it will be a tremendous sign of growth.

I'd actually rahther have and clean hatless portrait than a BD one. But I get why they went this route. I'm over. I'm really looking forward to that hatless Solo head more than anything.

Even though it's not in the movie, a hatless portrait would've been useful for people with the Sideshow Bespin Luke.

Yeah...I, for one, can not wait for the 1:6 scale polystone wampa statue with the exclusive removeable arm an no other aspect of playability. I would rather have a wampa cave to hang Luke upside-down in with no wampa at all.

Judging by the excitement here, SS had better not eff up the production pieces. IMO there's a lot riding on the outcome of some great long awaited characters here.

Hard for me to get excited knowing SS's track record. Color me cautiously optimistic. (I would love for these to be fantastic)

Personally, I don't limit myself to what was on the screen. I am happy to take my imagination beyond the script. I would have loved to have a naked headsculpt of pre-car crash Luke just for the added possibilities for displaying the figure.

Yeah, that's really it. More options for kit bashes and/or replacement for the HT Luke if that's your thing. We still have Solo though. If this is as good as we're all hoping this could finally be the answer to all those Indy and Solo variation figures we all have. I'd buy at least two extra.

i agree. after being here so long, we would be foolish not to take this approach.

i will say, i noticed the same quality shift with their Nathan Drake figure... it wasn't the typical SST fare. it was evolved.

I'm sure Sideshow's US dollars will work just as well as Hot Toys' to pay factory workers. There's no reason Sideshow can't be the premiere producer of 1/6 action figures. The sculpts require talented artists and many of them already work freelance. Engineering a fantastic series of basic bodies on the other hand... Hot Toys remains to be matched in that regard.

Can someone tell me what the thing is with the blue jacket brown coat thing I've never heard about it before?
