The Prequels are better than The Hobbit movies.

The original Mad Max has aged terribly and is completely inferior to Fury Road.

On that note, Fury Road is the best installment.

Terminator Genisys is a perfectly good film and a great (and so far only worthwhile) third installment to the franchise.

The Expendables films are good.

Game of Thrones is good, fun, and a neat show, but I don't think it's great. Still above average.

All video game adaptations should be HBO/Showtime/Amazon/Netflix shows instead of movies purely based on the logistics of translating 15+ hour stories to 2 hour films.

I wouldn't agree that all video games need to be shows. I think Halo could easily be adapted to a 2-3 hour movie with sequels running the same length. But I agree it would be nice to see some video games given the TV treatment to flesh out the characters and not rush the plot so quickly as is often the case.

He's mostly a visual director like Snyder...but with a Gothic design and aesthetic. There are some exceptions, but the majority of his film excel aesthetically, like his Batman films. Ebert said it best, " is a triumph of design over story, style over substance - a great-looking movie."

I don't know. You can pretty much do an apples to apples comparison between the two directors with things like the costume party in Returns vs. the party in the BvS trailers. Both feature "Bat-universe" rivals awkwardly encountering each other on neutral ground but the two scenes and directing styles are so very different.

But if your point of comparison is simply that they're both "style over substance" directors then to a large part I would agree.

I don't really think that will be a fair comparison though, they're almost certainly at different points in the story, and the scenes will almost certainly serve completely different purposes to each other.

I do think Burton is better than Snyder though, by far.
