Given their "success" at recreating Leia in CG already, why not keep her going? She has latent Jedi traits now, and can flip around like Yoda did when wielding the light saber. Fans would erupt in applause, Lucas would nod approvingly, a win-win if you ask me.

True, true. It would be a very classy and becoming send off to show her CG body cork-screwing through the air while slaughtering FO Stormtroopers left and right. We can only hope.

Still sweatin' I see...

That's his gimmick so far.

I hope he gets to be a Jedi eventually.

Rey is like the Tom Cruise of MI

Poe is the "best" pilot in the galaxy...although Rey might have something to say about that.

BB8 is the new R2D2 and he's adorable.

Chewie is still...Chewie/co pilot.

Finn...well, he better learn Kung Fu or play basketball or something.

i know the last jedi is secretly really Lando, who has hid this fact for many years.....the new movie will have a flashback sequence to setup his own spinoff movie....

Should of been called "Return of the Last Jedi", we all know Luke will die and become a "ghost" to guide Rey in the EP9. Rey will defeat the empire and marry Finn at the end of EP9, putting an end to this Star Wars series.

They clearly aren't above doing CG versions of dead guys. Or is it too soon?

Something that might be cool for a final Leia moment in Episode IX would be to pull a "Valeria" from Conan the Barbarian. Luke is down for the count against Snoke or whomever and then this fierce ray of light repels the Supreme Leader (nice and ambiguous, nothing cheesy like a lightsaber swinging at him or anything) and then Luke looks up, sees Leia's smiling ghost (maybe an alternate take of her wearing the gown at the end of TFA while smiling at Rey) and he regathers his strength to win.

This please.

:lol :lol

Never too soon for me. :lol

Not to impressed by the title as it once again hardens back to where we were before with the end of Revenge of the Sith and the extermination of the Jedi by the Empire. Here we are again....

The title sounds better for the rumored Obi-wan Star Wars story or any story that follows a lone Jedi during the period between Episode 3 and 4.

Someone just pointed out that THE LAST JEDI is taken right from TFA opening crawl. "...will not rest until skywalker, the last Jedi, has been destroyed."

It's pretty shocking that TFA gave us yet ANOTHER Jedi Purge at the hands of a prized apprentice who turned bad. I mean I still like that Kylo is a "proper" young Anakin in my mind but damn, talk about blatantly repeating history. :lol

Uninspired title- TFA and RO better titles- another Jedi title..ughh

When Luke dies will he "become more powerful then ever imagined".

Rumor is Luke is going to teach Rey to be a Jedi (Which kinda is the last scene in TFA)

But during training Finn gets captured and Rey goes to rescue Finn. Luke secretly follows and sacrifices himself to save Rey. She escapes which will set up EP9 with no OT characters.

I'm skeptical about how they can use Luke effectively.

If he's just a trainer and doesn't get involve in the battle against Ren and the empire, then how do they explain that?

If he does get involve and he's powerful, then why was he hiding?

If he's not that powerful, and he had to go into hiding in order to survive....then that's a bit disappointing.

Maybe he had a vision and needed to go into hiding to train a future Jedi to fulfill some other prophecy or something like that. Perhaps he was biding his time til the time was right, much like Yoda did. Perhaps he already knows that the fate of the galaxy depends on Rey (or somebody else?) becoming a Jedi.

What I wonder is if this title refers to the last of the "Jedi" light side Force users? Disney seems like they want to include force users besides just Jedi and Sith. Perhaps Luke realized the "Jedi" way of using the force is not the correct way to go forward if one is to build a new generation of force users. Maybe one should make peace with using both the light and the dark. I don't know, this title has me thinking and I love it.
