I like how you guys really think Abrams had a backstory in mind for Rey or Snoke and that they were anything more than empty templates for future installments' writers to deal with.

Look how wide she opens her mouth. :google

The novelisation of TFA had some juicy notes about Snoke, that he was ancient (before the empire) and had rebuilt his body over time. It sounds like a classic Lestat - Vampire Chronicles set-up, Ancient one gradually coming back to life over decades to re-emerge. If it's not Plagueis it's a bit silly IMO.

Snoke could easily be Voldemort too when you say it like that.

I want VIII to go full on Bram Stoker's Dracula when Luke confronts Snoke/Plagueis. He draws the green saber and then Snoke flies across the room like a demon.

I want something more sinister than Palpatine - which was pretty damn sinister.

****ing LOVED Bram Stoker's Dracula. Loved this scene!!!

Why a green saber for Snoke?

I meant green for Luke.

Does he even bother with fencing though? Isn't that just beneath him?

I don't subscribe to the notion that using the saber is a "lesser" form of combat, specially since we now know that Force Lightning can be diffused with a lightsaber (a skill I'm glad Luke didn't have when facing Palps since Vader needed to see him down and on the verge of death).

Having said that, I see Snoke/Plagueis as a supernatural entity so I don't think he'll use a saber.

Nah, we realise Abrams left it open. And also that Johnson and Trevorrow are prequel sympathisers.

(Though there *was* that cue in TFA of the ROTS opera scene theme when Snoke appeared)

Why a green saber for Snoke? What about dark light? A "black" saber.

Does he even bother with fencing though? Isn't that just beneath him?

Rogue one teased the black saber during the Scarif archives... hopefully something good comes out of it
