Hot Toys - MMS 719, MMS 720, MMS 721, MMS 722 - A New Hope: Sandtrooper Sergeant and Dewback 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure

I honestly thought for a second that this was a lifesize suit, maybe on display at some show. Your futzing makes it look incredibly realistic!

    Heath Ledger Joker Customs

Amazing how realistic that looks. The eyelids add so much. Of course it helps that he really nailed the likeness.

Hot Toys - MMS 795 - Terminator 2: Judgment Day: T-800 (2.0) Galleria Version 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure

I ordered as well. Same as a-dev, I'm not as excited about the figure as I'd like to be, but it will be a big improvement over my DX10 either way. And I like the character design (all in black with shades) too much to skip it.

    Agonistes' Star Wars customs

I started painting the armor today. This is going to be a weeks long process. After reading up a lot on model and prop painting, my strategy is as follows: Wet sand. Spray paint several layers of gloss black, including a final wet coat. Let dry for a week. Wet sand. Spray paint several layer of...

Hot Toys - MMS748 & MMS 749 - The Phantom Menace: Darth Maul 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure

I finally sat down and wrote down my thoughts on Maul. Pros: Likeness and realism of the sculpt: less toy like in proportions, and the likeness to Ray Park is stronger this time. Better second sculpt: while I would have preferred the teeth grinding, I really like the new sculpt. The V1 open...

Hot Toys - MMS 795 - Terminator 2: Judgment Day: T-800 (2.0) Galleria Version 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure

I got a Harley Fatboy phone from 2003 about a year ago. It needs a slight repaint here and there and some saddle bags at some point, but it gets the job done.

ENTERBAY 1:4 HD Masterpiece Series-Terminator 2-BD T-800 Full Specs and Pics

Beautiful! Replacing the clothing is on my to-do list as well. And your weathering is giving me ideas... Can you share some more details of what you repainted?

Hot Toys - MMS 795 - Terminator 2: Judgment Day: T-800 (2.0) Galleria Version 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure

I would really like to like that sculpt, but I just can't behind it. From this angle he looks ok: But here he doesn't only know now why you cry, but he's starting to mimic it:

    Agonistes' Star Wars customs

Haha yeah, me too. :lol If somebody offered the helmet printed and ready to go, I would probably be done by now. I'm just dragging my feet getting the minutefett 3D parts joined into one helmet, getting the walls thickened, and then getting it printed. I also simply don't have the passion for...

Hot Toys - MMS748 & MMS 749 - The Phantom Menace: Darth Maul 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure

I got the Hasbro speeder version for cheap on ebay after getting the SS V1 around 2007/2008, with the intent to enhance the display. I never used it a single time in the end, so it was an easy decision to skip the HT speeders.

Hot Toys - MMS748 & MMS 749 - The Phantom Menace: Darth Maul 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure

Another great improvement: the eyes. The sclera is less stark white: this makes it less looking like a toy The yellow iris is less vibrant: this is a common mistake in Sith eyes, making them too yellow The paint is more dimensional and detailed: the blood vessels are more subtle than before...

Hot Toys - MMS748 & MMS 749 - The Phantom Menace: Darth Maul 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure

Agreed on all accounts. Whenever I look at the V1 open mouth sculpt, I hear a "nyah" in my head, like this: While I would also prefer teeth gritting instead of open, it still works surprisingly well on this new sculpt, particularly with the eyes looking to the side. For me the SS V2 didn't...

Hot Toys - MMS748 & MMS 749 - The Phantom Menace: Darth Maul 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure

:wave I don't actually have them all - I never got the medicom - but here's my line-up. They are also not all stock, so perhaps somebody else will make the ultimate comparison in the future.

Hot Toys - MMS748 & MMS 749 - The Phantom Menace: Darth Maul 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure

I absolutely love this figure! This is by far the best HT figure I own. I still have to take some more time to write down all my thoughts on this, but here already the result of my photo session today. If you have the V1 and want to wait to grab the new sculpts parted out, please do yourself a...

Hot Toys - MMS748 & MMS 749 - The Phantom Menace: Darth Maul 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure

So Maul has a completely different upper body compared to the V1! Important note: The V1 on the right is modified. I dremeled the lats and extended the neck. And I repainted the sculpt. The new upper body gives him much better proportions in the traps, upper arms, and overall silhouette. The...
