If you really think about the product description for every Baleman produced by HT thus far, how EVERY version has been ‘meticulously, fine detailed-ly, painstakingly’ captured to ‘accurately’ capture this and so feature…Bale’s likeness, his muscular physique…
And now this newER version is even...
Here are some screen caps from MRC’s review:
😇😇😇😇
MRC’s video doesn’t show me what i haven’t already seen with those blogger photos. Just different lighting and it’s in motion. It doesn’t magically bring out the Rupaul-…I mean SLJ likeness.
…I…don’t agree.
It actually makes it looks worse, accentuating the lack of SLJ likeness.
Once again, if you’re getting this because you really want ‘Mace’ in your collection, cool.
but nothing will ever convince me this looks like the actor it’s based off of.
But if they were so lazy and couldn’t be arsed to sculpt another SLJ, they could’ve taken one of their fury sculpts and repurposed it for a mace sculpt. Sure it would’ve been a recycle, but at least it would’ve looked like SLJ.
I’d only want InArt To get some form of partial license just to put even more of the squeeze on HT.
HT may have improved their sculpts (prototypes) this past year, but they still can’t break out of their bad habits. Outsourcing or straight up purchasing already existing sculpts to remain...
This popped up on OSR FB group 😂😂
Don’t worry, HT will most definitely probably theoretically MAYBE have the definitive version of this Batman…once they revisit him 2 more times…then! THEN, he’ll look perfect!
Idealized in the sense that if the actor has one eye bigger than the other, HT won’t capture that and will make the eyes even, because it’s more “attractive” or “correct”. Idealized.
Which also results an ‘inaccurate’ sculpt. Which means you’re not wrong.
😅😅
This is absolutely not fair. To say everyone that’s not on board with this sculpt and can’t find anything to praise are poisoning the hobby.
So where does one draw the line?
I’m genuinely asking. Not stirring ****, not here to make enemies. I do want to engage people here on a subject I adore...
@Mr. Awesome
I get where you’re coming from. And given my own personal history of collecting HT since the beginning…I can tell you that they absolutely have the ability of capturing an actors likeness to a T…but they don’t for several reasons. Some you’re already familiar with just by being in...
…huh? Did you seriously feel I was being hostile with my reply?
I was trying to be tongue in cheek by saying if you’re gonna have it hooded up, and have it displayed at the bottom of the shelf where there is less light, then just kitbash your mace. Like why spend $260-$280 on something you...
You’re not wrong. FOMO is the ultimate wallet killer. Then when you slap a “oh only 3000+ units available and a PO window of 3 hours…this is a MUST HAVE!!”, it’s easy to see how HT keeps getting away with this crap 😆.
