Sorry but it seems I did missed out on one more:

- Bale's Batman 1/6 and 1/12 will be considered.
- Unlikely to do rooted hair version due to complexity. (my own comment, probably didn't make any huge difference between rooted/sculpted)

Have updated the main text.

Link to the livestream?

Thanks!

Some interesting info coming out of this interview. Lots to be excited for, a couple things I'm concerned about. The anime series being regulated to 1/12 is a bummer, but I guess that could open up deeper figure lines? I hope the 1/12''s are as good as the 1/6's have been. I hope they don't shelve the 1/12 TDK Batman in favor of just doing a 1/6.

I hope the future Black Myth figures are distinct from the Collector's version one. Apparently, Wukong gets armor upgrades (as in the legend) so maybe that will be the regular release?

If they do a silicone lower torso for Hermione, I hope they still include a jointed version for longevity sake.

I'm excited for Matrix and Terminator (especially die-cast endoskeleton), those are going to be musts, as are LotR, GoT, and Harry Potter. Cavil Clark Kent could be cool, I'll probably just stick with regular BVS Batman. I really hope the MV Micheal Jackson is Smooth Criminal, that too will be a must have.

Was there any mention of what they're showing at SDCC or shows after that?

Thanks for the info!

It's on Douyin and its in Chinese so I doubt it can help anyone here by going there?

And I can't seem to find the livestream anymore, so it seems to be taken down since.

No problem, thanks for the response!

Did they give any reason why they decided to go from 1/6 to 1/12 for Chainsaw Man?

I am honestly still so gutted about this decision 😭 the Inart CSM line was my most anticipated line since they showed them off

Not really, usually it's a Q&A format and they make it very brief without explaining too much unless they are already further in development for certain characters.

I think the best guess is that there are already companies doing 1/6 anime figures for these licenses and InArt is incredibly slow at their releases so it's better to pivot to 1/12 instead.

Just to share, people are angry that InArt is taking on way too much without releasing much, and it's not just a minority thing. When they revealed they worked with Game Science on Black Myth Wukong the comments are not exactly kind to them, at least on the Chinese social space. There's even conspiracies where they are taking pre-order money to fund their new licenses, etc. Not exactly the kind of rumors you want to hear from a young company still trying find a stable footing.

InArt's attraction to me is their sculpts and rooted hair. I don't see the appeal in them doing a figure like armoured batman when his head is masked. Would there really be much of a difference from HT?
Armoured Batman does also require a sculpt though and the HT 2.0 proto is already pretty soft and derpy looking so will only get worse upon mass production.
An alt angry expression is very much needed for the battle damaged look.

HT is still using the same old, rubbery, printed-fabric under suit and the hands are presumed to be reused and therefore outdated from a detail standpoint.

Also, it’s not just face sculpting I’d give to IA over HT but the accuracy and detail of parts in general, proportions, better posability, more consideration of materials used etc.

It’s still early days for them as a company but I think its safe to assume in most instances that their efforts would trump HT- and rightly so given their prices.

List of updates from recent livestream in China:

- Will stop the first batch release on full payment for future release (my own comment: not sure when and I don't think it applies to influencer batch)

List of updates from recent livestream in China:

wait…I’m a bit confused with this. “Stop first batch release on full payment”…as in people who paid full upfront won’t be first to get it? Was that a thing before?

- Bruce Lee 1/12 and 1/6 next year (2025)
- Bruce Lee is also silicone for upper body (not stated clearly if it applies to both versions or)

- Constantine still in discussion (I assumed it's Keanu Reaves version because of the next statement)
- Matrix figures are placed in priority compared to John Wick, will base on the early movies

- Black Myth Wukong figures will be planned after the game releases.

List of updates from recent livestream in China:

- Superman stated to be released by this year 3rd quarter (my own comment: influencer batch first then second class citizens can go **** themselves.)

🤣🤣🤣

Hey man, get used to sitting in the seats designed for hobbits in the cramped spaces of economy class, despite paying for 1st class tickets 🤣🤣

And yes, I agree, that clear distinction of batches can go **** itself in the face 🤬🤬

I think that applies to their Taobao shop where if you do a full payment you do get priority shipping batches, which isn't a lot of time differences to be honest. My Joker was paid up 2 - 3 weeks after the full payment batch. Not too sure if that applies to Specfiction or whatever their western counterpart is.

And yea, I'm waiting for both Bruce Lee and Michael Jackson, it has been a long while since we have some decent offerings from both influential figures.

Ah ok. But it’s still weird. What happened? Did the influencers complain they didn’t feel special enough that ‘paid up front’ customers are getting it in a time frame close to theirs??

Oh InArt…*rolls eyes*

Anyway, I was already hyped for MJ and my wallets locked and loaded for whenever the PO drops.

Anytime now InArt!

With their current speed, this would take years to release. In that time, a lot can and will change.

Yeah, this!

We're still missing several figures promised in that first silhouette tease from a few years ago now.

And since the beginning of interviews, Terminator has been mentioned... as has the other WB licenses like Matrix, yet nothing so far.

Given what's already been shown -- and what we know they are working on (like Legolas) -- we're a good three years away from anything NEW dropping into our hands.

I think it's the opposite actually.

This is purely my thoughts and take it as you will; a lot of the full payment batch collectors are filthy rich, like really rich. They can order multiples of the same figures with full payment and it's a drop in the sea for them. I have seen a few photos where it's just a single figure release x 20 pieces (eg. Joker) with multiple poses reenacting scenes from the movies. I find it disgusting and crazy but that's the way the cookie crumbles. To them, if a problem can be solved with money, then it's not a problem at all. Classless and crude but it is what it is.

These collectors also may not have the industry insider connections (or they don't do reviews or influence) so to get treated like second class citizens even though they paid in full upfront is like an insult to them and that is the group you don't want to mess with, at least in China. Because unlike others who paid a deposit, these guys are really funding your production efforts (especially if you are a new company).

So overtime as they realized the influencers keep getting the first batch and they have to wait and get the second class citizen treatment (full payment batch mind you) it would definitely rub them the wrong way. Instant gratification is very much a thing even in China too.

Whether that affects InArt production I'm not sure, these people may not be influential in the toy industry but they can influence other things such as production line and stuff, a lot of these production are not done entirely in a single factory and are outsourced to others before combining them in a single factory for efficiency. You just need one production line to run into 'problems' (retaliation measures from these disgrunted collectors) and it can affect a lot of things. Maybe it's ******** from me but I have seen it happen in other industries sooooooo...

Scrapping that full payment is purely a business tactic to ensure it's just 2 classes, influencer class and second class citizens. That way it's 'fairer' to everyone. The filthy rich can still scalp from the second market if they wanted to be the 'first' but at least the fault is not with InArt anymore.

Or you know, InArt could just wait a bit more to produce at least full payment batches + influencer batches together before sending them out? I don't know I'm not a marketing person.🤷‍♂️

I’ll definitely pick up some Terminator figures, both Bale and Affleck Batman’s, Bale Bruce Wayne and Reeve Superman. I don’t plan to but I’ll most likely end up getting Constantine and Neo purely off impulsive purchases from how good they’ll look from going off their past figures. I guess I’ll be buying an apartment later next year now 😂

With the amount of figures down the pipeline, sounds like ill be well into my career by the time they get to it all, which is much needed as im gonna need some cash to burn on all this goodness! Give me BvS Batman/KM, Wonder Woman, M2 Neo, Constantine, Jon Snow, Dany, Rick Grimes and Daryl Dixon. I think season 3-4 would be ideal for TWD, but I'm assuming we may get some later stuff like they're doing with GoT.

I guess Inart won't be making a Battle Angel Alita anytime soon... A while ago thought they said they were going to do Alita in different scales after Queen did their 1:1 bust statue.
