But then that would mean Daenerys wasn't mentioned at all in that long list/livestream. It's even worse lol
It doesn't seem like Dumbledore, Superman 76, or Thorin were mentioned either, but John said all those were still coming, especially Superman 76. And he has said Daenerys should be coming for PO this year or relatively soon, at least, so I'm sure she's on the way. There are still supposedly 4-6 pre-orders this year.

Any idea what they are?

Supposed MJ will be the next PO.
2 are MJ, I think a BVS Batman, 1/12 TDK Batman, maybe Chainsaw Man, Denji, and Makima... either in 1/6 or 1/12. And maybe Daenerys and Legolas. That's more than 6, but John's answers on interviews have changed a little each time. A Nazgol and Superman 76 are supposed to be coming up, too.

What does it mean exactly ?
I was convinced that we would finally be able to preorder Daenerys this year but this statement makes me think otherwise

I'm excited about Harley / Gaga
It just means they are still at the planning stages for GoT characters.

With the massive pushback on Daenerys oddly yellowish sculpted hair and rooted hair combo, I think they are taking it back to the table to plan out more. There's also people who didn't want that look but earlier seasons so maybe there's that.

Yep, they had mentioned a total of 8-10 preorders this year:

1. Joker 2 & 4 pack
2. Paul Atreides
3. Ron Weasley
4. Hermione Granger

Assumptions:

5. MJ
6. Legolas
7. BvS Batman
8. Dumbledore
9. Daenerys
10. Superman 76

I'm personally hoping we get Chainsaw Man in there as well. Last summer they had 3 CSM characters shown at the Cons they went to in Asia. Also, another collector I talked to about the Chainsaw Man figures yesterday asked about the 1/6 vs 1/12 scale for those figures on FB and the English speaking Inart rep said they were still going to be 1/6. So seems like there's some confusion about that set.

There are also 2 versions of MJ, and I think both are going up for PO this year. Hopefully, Wukong isn't taking one of those PO slots, since barely anyone had a chance to get him.

- Chainsaw Man (and other Japanese manga figures) will be in 1/12, not going for 1/6 anymore.
Hey Yasuo,

I have spoken to 3 Chinese friends and they have all been able to confirm the list that you've shared here with us but none of them have been able to find any information about Chainsaw Man switching scales from 1/6 to 1/12 or any future anime/manga figures being in 1/12 as well.

I saw that @Venzarr has e-mailed and wrote on Facebook to InArt/Queen Studios and the information they got was that Chainsaw Man is going to be a 1/6 scale project.

This isn't to say that I question the information you provided, it could be a case of the CS representative not having the latest information or not being able to disclose such details. So what I want to understand is, has there been any discussion from Chinese fans about this announcement by InArt?

I just find it so confusing that my friends haven't been able to find anything, representatives from InArt/Queen Studio say it's 1/6 but the truth might be different. I hope you can help us out here.

Since they said it’s still in development phase, I’m not expecting BVS Batman this year, especially if they’re planning a 3 figure release.
Maybe they’ll leave some space for the Knightmare version but, I’d personally prefer they do all 3 at once in another big ol’ box set.

Thanks for verifying with your friends, I'm just surprised not many people seem to be aware of these updates over here and it was out there for a bit before I decided to post it up. It's not even an insider info, just a official Q&A kind of thing.

For one it came from InArt official douyin channel so there's that. They likely will be doing these Japanese anime figures in 1/12 instead of 1/6 with the likely reasons I provided above in another post.

A bit of personal context for that reason, with 1/12 they can pivot the production channel through another factory instead of clustering them in waiting over at the 1/6 factory, causing more delays. There's also the issue that InArt is already very slow with their releases so making it 1/6 will likely kill the line up as they struggle to get more characters out of the gates, you will maybe get Denji (as it was shown) then Power or Makima? Then that's it, which is about the same as what ThreeZero has provided so far.

Think of it as Storm Toys/Collectibles where they produce figures in 1/9 or 1/12 scales and they can have a consistent output. Compared that to their 1/6 lineup and you can see why InArt may be doing the same thing.

As for whether any Chinese fans commented on it, honestly not much. I should also state that I don't hang around these forums or influencer channels much (InArt do have their own shills too) because the comments are toxic and it's either just bashing InArt delays or other brands comparison.

However, I do noticed that the Chinese fans are far more concerned with movie/IRL characters than anime characters for InArt releases, considering that some intend to complete the lineup, for eg. Joker and Batman etc.

In all, my advise is that if you are not getting the answer you want, then maybe just wait a bit and see if this news becomes official.

His insinuation, that InArt are taking too long is coming from HIS POV. He has a stake in the sales.

As the buyer, I really don't give a toss.

Not my problem.

Time for bed.

In my POV and many Chinese fans, yes. InArt takes too long and prioritize on getting the influencers their figures.

I don't have any stake in sales though, just a regular collector who likes what InArt is doing and appreciate that they are pushing other companies forward. I dislike how they market their stuff but that's just my own opinion. I mean it's evident from this latest update. Why is it restricted to a certain app that not everyone can or want to access?

That's how you get misinformation spreading and I don't think any companies want that kind of infamy.

Regardless of what ends up happening with the CSM/ anime series, the info and insight to that stream is definitely appreciated Yasuo. I think it's definitely telling that it seems like there's inconsistent information coming official Inart sources. I will say that a switch to 1/12 for anime characters seems in line with what John said on Will's interview about Video Game characters being 1/12 too, and with anime characters now being handled by their own team at Inart. Like you said it looks like we'll just have to wait and see.

About the TDK Batman, when they said they were considering 1/12 and 1/6, was like a one or the other consideration, or they were planning on doing both?

Thanks!

Let's wait and see for the anime characters, personally I'm fine with trheezeros offerings but would be interesting to see how much more can be done if another licensor takes up.

For TDK Batman, it's both versions, though I'm unsure if 1/6 will come put first or later.

I'd primarily be interested in characters from shows that would benefit from a higher quality figure than threezero normally produces like Dungeon Meshi, Fate Stay Night/ Grand Order, or Frieren, where the costumes could be made to look really impressive and from different materials.

Okay, thanks for clarifying on TDK Batman.

Thanks for the insightful response once again Yasuo, I really do appreciate it.

I guess it's a tough pill for me to swallow and accept that CSM is going to be 1/12 as I exclusively collect 1/6. :(

I sold pretty much all of my 1/12 stuff when I got into Inart and Hot Toys, so I get where you're coming from, though I'm still interested to see what Inart is planning to set themselves apart in the 1/12 arena. If it does allow them to do a greater variety of characters or deeper lines with a similar quality to their 1/6 and a faster turn around time, it may be a good fit for them.

Of course, of course. But I won't be buying 1/12 collectibles. :(

I primarily prefer 1/6 over 1/12 as well, but I have been thinking on whether or not a 1/12 Assassin's Creed line would be something - considering they're doing Black Myth Wukong and seem to dabble in games.
