I don't understand why they didn't go with bucky.

Because Disney gonna Disney. Representation over story. Always.
no I remember someone saying that Bucky was still a killer and he was bad and then he brainwashed that one time or whatever and the public wouldn't trust him ( both the public in the marvel universe and In our universe.
like Bucky being like Loki. can be good now, but, can't be fully forgiven

This releasing on Valentine’s Day is all I need to know about Fiege’s confidence in this garbage he has to release:lol

But at least you folks will finally get live-action Red Hulk figures. I know alot of you have been wanting that figure forever. So that’s my one positive comment about this dumpster fire of a movie.

It looks... decent I guess. Clearly trying hard to be another Winter Soldier, but does anyone really care about political intrigue in the MCU anymore?

I also hope they don't spend the entire movie comparing him with Steve, as that could get old quick.

Bucky is also extremely boring and essentially a sleeping aid whenever he’s on screen.

Not that Sam is much better though.

I really can’t believe the chose a shot that looks this bad for the thumbnail.

Yeah.

Some real world concerns topped off with a guy who can fly. Oh no -- he has an friend-turned-enemy who can also fly! Oh NO -- the government is against him!!!! What is he going to do...? OH NO! The White House has fallen!!!!!

I feel like its way too late to bring this thing back down to Earth.

Looks Ok to me, more Civil War than Captain Marvel.

I thought it looked OK too. I'll miss the narrative that IMO should have been in TFWS which would have led to Bucky being in this and IMO snark, but TFWS sank IMO under the overweight messaging and leaden script.

So Bucky is better off in Thunderbolts. Because *&^%$ is Malcolm Spellman the showrunner for this and his "do better" speeches?:cautious:

But it looked OK. Reminded me more of all those Gerard Butler films, where you can park your brain. Did appreciate meeting the whole "you are not Steve Rogers" head on, so that was a plus. GianCarlo is in it, so that's a plus. On the other hand, don't have a lot of hope, not with all the rumored reshoots:horror. Plus if it's Spellman there's probably more messaging zzzzzzz

CA: Winter Soldier remixed. At least I'll get a HT Red Hulk out of this; possibly that new Falcon.

BTW, Deadpool & Wolverine will not fix/reset MCU, particularly if Feige doesn't follow up on it which he seldom does.

Unless this film is really good I'll put the breaks on collecting - but, always liked Falcon er Captain Falcon America and that twirling move and wings etc.

Famous last words lol - "well, that's a really cool fig, what's one more". Just make it a good popcorn movie. Don't think I can take any more bad speeches or seeing someone like Fury being depressed or getting beat up by a CGI cat.

The MCU is so dead at this point. I don't know what's been more entertaining to watch. The slow destruction of the MCU or Star Wars.... :dunno

Who knows. There's Andor. Disney's gotta be real nervous at this point, they've invested billions into their debacles and the only thing to show for it, besides Andor, is additions to landfills from the toys that didn't sell.

I didn't know anything about the director and writer(s), and after investigating, I still have no idea what to expect. I thought Falcon and Winter Soldier was pretty mediocre and haven't seen anything else by those guys.

But really, why would you hire someone with a proven track record in a situation like this? Better to gamble on unknowns.
