JND just can't stop copying 😭
Maybe, but technically JND had planned 1/3 LOTR before Queen as far as I know. They just started with Arwen instead of Aragorn where as QS is starting with Aragorn out the gate. And I'm pretty sure they mentioned Aragorn would be the next in their LOTR line after Arwen previously anyway.

That said, based on this early rendering, the pose appears to be better than the stiffer standing pose that QS went with.

Looking forward to the reveal. If the sculpt is good, I'll just sell my InArt pieces to help pay for this. Pretty sure Aragorn and Gandalf would cover most of JND's pricing.

Totally agree. Even as a low detail render from the back, it has more presence than QS.

This might push me to sell one of my InArt Aragorn’s to help contribute.
All comes down to the sculpt though and I’m seldom 100% sold on JND sculpts.

Looks like we’re a long way away from seeing a physical prototype though

It really does seem to look like that.. What’s next? Kojun Works 1/6 LOTR figures?!

Ah nah, I was taking the mick from people who don't understand there's R&D that goes into projects and setups to make to start runs, the idea that a company is copying someone is hilarious, although the coincidence of it is also.

Just from this pose it seems more dynamic and having a presence than what was shown from Inart, but their portrait and hair looked incredibly good. Excited to see this one!

I see, I like what JND is doing and it’s good to have more high end options available so you can choose your favorite, but I just wished they went a bit more out of their comfort zone. Give us something nobody has done before or we haven’t seen in a long time. I think a lot more people would support them if they did.

Excited for it tho! It will most likely be higher quality than Queen and I thought the pose Queen chose was kinda weird.

They do, though. 1/3 Arthur Fleck, Arwen, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Oh Dae-Su from Oldboy, the other actress from a Korean film, White Beard.

True, they haven't with 1/6, but Kojun starting off with Joker makes sense as a first figure out the gates. Batman just makes sense afterwards. Harry Potter James is a huge fan, and the license probably got cheaper or made more wide at the same time. Licensors dictate quite a lot, you often see various companies release the same characters in a short time-period because they give the green light.

I think even JND had to release The Batman before they really wanted to, that has to be their most unenthusiastic release.

1/6 they need to prove themselves, ironically their thinking was probably they'd do it with the most popular characters to widen the appeal and get more people to try them out, whether that works or not who knows, Joker has sold out, and until the restyle of Batman so did he.

I sort of doubt it to be honest, at least when it comes to ppl on this forum. There seems to be a lot of unreasonable hate towards JND just for existing :lol

I understand they aren’t the cheapest so it gives just one more thing to be critical of when it comes to them, but some folks seem to want them to fail and hate them the way Danoby hates any company that isn’t HT :lol

Maybe everyone here is actually Danoby?

We're just in one big Danoby nightmare thrill ride and there's no way out!

James said he has Gandalf 1/3 and 1/6 planned, so announcement of LotR 1/6. Will this JND copying Inart never enddddddddddddd?

I personally hope JND copies every character Inart announces for the giggles.

One step further, I hope JND JND-izes Viper as a 1/6.

Yeah, you’re right. People aren’t giving them a chance, not at all. I think their Lite line was a pretty smart move yet it received a lot of backlash. Prices were similar to InArt and people still weren’t happy.

I don’t plan to buy statues because I basically have no room for them, but a 1/3 Aragorn and Gandalf by JND would be extremely hard to pass on. The shelf presence those would have..
